Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is comatible with Zyhun Crane 2 ?

A: Yes, the Crane 2 uses a Manfrotto style quick release plate.

Q: 2. if you have bought this tripod, would you recommend it? I am using it with a canon 70D and a canon wide angle 16-35mm - do you recommend it?

A: Yes!!! I recommend it 100%! It's very professional and clean and it's amazing quality. The fluid head is legit. I use it with my Nikon 5200 with my 18-55mm lens and it works great!

Q: 3. Please help, how do I remove this head from the 190 base?

A: Rotate the Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head counterclockwise.

Q: 4. I am just new to this. For video, why would you use this against the ball type 500A version? I've read that ball types are better since you can level things faster. Thanks

A: Actually, both of these heads are the same, the difference is that the MVH500A includes the Half Ball. On that head, you can remove the Half Ball and what you're left with is two pieces, the head and half ball. On the B&H site, you can even purchase the Half Ball separately and attach it to a flat plate head to convert it to a ball head. The reason you would choose either of these heads would depend on your Tripod's legs. if the legs have a bowl, then you can use the ball head (because the ball would fit into the bowl to allow you to level quickly). But if your legs only have a flat plate, then you need the head without the ball, so you would get something like this MVH500AH.If you haven't made a purchase yet, and are wanting a ball head, then you should look for a complete tripod (head and legs) system that supports the ball head. As far as which is better, I would say that they both have specific usages, and both come in handy when you need them to. For everyday usage, it would be personal preference on which you think is better, I have both types.Hope this helps!

Q: 5. Is a Canon MK3 with a 100-400 zoom too heavy for this head?

A: I have used it with my 70-200 5D3 without issue. I would suggest ensuring you use the lens mounting point for the plate, though. This is a rugged head, much more robust than you might think.

Q: 6. Can the center column be adjusted to level out the tripod head to get nice level shots?

A: Sorry, but you have to level this tripod the old fashioned way, one leg at a time.

Q: 7. What is the best way to mount this to a tripod with a center column (specifically the Benro CLT204 2-Series Induro)?

A: The Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head with Flat Base has a 3/8"-16 receiving mount on the bottom of the head, which can be attached directly onto the Benro CLT204 2-Series Induro's 3/8"-16 screw.

Q: 8. mvh 500 head spring available in the market.....?

A: The Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head with Flat Base B&H # MAMVH500AH is available and in stock today.

Q: 9. Hi This Head work w/ Ifootage Cobra 2 ??

A: Yes, this head is compatible with BH #IFC180II.

Q: 10. Will this work with a Sony FDR-AX53

A: Yes it will work fine. how ever I would use a smaller head for that camera.. as this head is pretty large for such camera.. Look for the smaller manfrotto head.... Things to look for are MAX payload.. your camera is approx 1.3lbs and this head is designed for up to 11lbs.. I would look for a smaller head closer to max payload of 4lbs for your style camera...
