The light beige Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and cH-style 4-pin Connector for Audio Technica Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.
The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-T5201 wireless bodypack transmitters.
For Stage, Theater, and Broadcast TV Audio Technica Transmitters Headroom for Strong Vocals Detachable 1mm Diameter Cable Versatile, Flexible Boom Includes Windscreen 3 x Protective Caps Black and White Single Tie Cable Clips Carrying Case

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.
The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does this meter also meter non radio transmitter flashes?
A: Certainly. You could either use cordless flash mode (light meter waits up to 90 seconds for a pop of flash) or synchro-cord mode (wired light meter to your flash via sync cable). For more info, check out page 73 of the manual here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/474654.pdf
Q: 2. What is the difference between Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U and Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D?
A: Both models are the same. The U designation refers to the meter being sold within the US marketplace.
Q: 3. Are there are plans to sell with a gold mount adapter?
A: The SmallRig V-Mount Battery Plate, B&H # SM3676 • MFR # 3676, is currently the only battery plate listed by SmallRig as compatible for use with the SmallRig RC 220B COB Bi-Color LED Video Light (2700-6500K). As of the time/date of this reply, SmallRig does not have a Gold-Mount adapter option designed for use with this light fixture.
Q: 4. Can I transmit with the yn685 on the canon 550 to another yn685 as slave?
A: Don't know just got mine, need to read manual to figure it out, sorryFrank
Q: 5. Somebody knows if it work with Nikon D800 and a speedlight SB-700??
A: You might download the manual and read that it says that it works with multiple flashes. This can include the wireless connection or direct cable connection. The vital information that should be in the manual, but is not would fill a truck. I had to spend a couple of hours on YouTube and fiddling with the gizmo to get it to communicate with the Godox V860 IIN. Typical instruction manual written by an engineer.
Q: 6. I just bought the exposimeter with the godox transmitter, is it possible to change the transmitter later?
A: The transmitter module can be substituted with a different module , usable for other lights , at additional cost
Q: 7. Does it work with the Phottix Odin II system?
A: The L-858D-U RT-EL/PX transmitter module operates on the Stratos II/Ares II protocol, which according to Phottix, does not trigger Odin II receivers*. As of 12/8/2020, there doesn't seem to be a firmware update yet available that might accommodate the Odin II system, or it might be a hardware incompatibility that is causing the restriction. *https://bit.ly/3nbSCRL
Q: 8. I have got following strobes : 3 GDX QS 400iii 2 Newer s-300 2 Newer Vision 4 Any universal trigger/receivers for this combo?
A: No, there is no universal Trigger that will fire both the Godox and the Neewer strobes, using their native built in radio. However it is possible to purchase the Godox X1R-C TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Canon. When paired with the Godox XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon Cameras, this will allow you to trigger your Neewer Flashes using the Godox radio system. Simply plug in a receiver into each of the Neewer flashes by connecting the supplied cables into the 3.5mm Sync socket of the Neewer Flashes. After addressing the Trigger and Receivers to the desired channels and groups, you will be all set to fire all strobes.
Q: 9. I have an issue with the L-858D-U with Godox transmitter kit. When I switch it on I get an error message, "Radio Transmitter Installed Cannot Be Used In This Meter". I have already sent a copy back for having the same issue. Am I missing an obvious set up step? As it is sold as a kit and the transmitter is already installed in the unit I am surprised that it doesn't work straight out of the box.
A: This is a known issue that will be remedied by updating the firmware.
Q: 10. Will the RT Module-32 Pocketwizard transmitter from the Sekonic L-608 work as a transmitter for the L-858D-U?
A: Yes.
