The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 3-pin LEMO connector for use with Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. why is there a knob on the right and left side?

A: The knob on the right side top end of the Davis & Sanford V9 Fluid Video Head tightens the tripod plate into the head. Beneath that one still on the right, the bigger knob tightens or loosens the amount of Vertical tension on forward and backward motions. The knob on the left side tightens or loosens the panning capabilities, for horizontal motions of the fluid head.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this fluid head for at least a year regularly (say once a week) and can speak to its long-term performance?

A: On the sales floor at our NYC Superstore we have this model on display in the Pro Video department. Though this may not have been a production application, I have handled this model almost once a week to demonstarte to customers when this model was first released, and a lot of times customers handling it themselves exploring the Nitrotech feature of the head and it is still kicking strong.

Q: 3. Does this head come with its own camera mounting plate or do I need to buy separately?

A: The plate is included.

Q: 4. Is this head made in Italy or China ?

A: The Manfrotto MVH608 Nitrotech Head is made in Italy.

Q: 5. While using the Sachtler FSB-8, what is the range of leveling from the Gitzo 75mm bowl adapter with the Gitzo series 5 tripod?

A: The Gitzo 75mm Bowl Adapter will allow you to connect 75mm ball tripods to the Gitzo Series 5 Tripods. While we have no specific information on the range of leveling it should work in the same way as it would if the head was connected to a tripod that already has a 75mm bowl.

Q: 6. I have a large Arco Swiss plate on my 200 to 600 lens. Will it fit on this head?

A: If it's an Arca Swiss plate it should work with this head.

Q: 7. is this compatible with sachtler flowtech75?

A: Just as long as you have a 75mm Half Ball Adapter, like B&H # MA520BALL, you will be able to fit this head on a tripod with a 75mm Bowl. https://bhpho.to/2hQRMbo

Q: 8. Can this be attached to a Sirui P-324S monopod (or any monopod for that matter)? If so, are there additional accessories I need to purchase?

A: The Sachtler 0405 FSB-6T Fluid Head is strictly for tripod or dolly use for two reasons. 1.This fluid head has a ball base and the Sirui P-324S has a flat head so you cannot attach them together. 2.Also this fluid head is much too big and heavy for monopod use.As is, the Sirui P-324S works as a small, elegant video monopod with 360 panning and 20 tilting built in. If you need, you can add a small video head like the MVH500AH Fluid Video Head.

Q: 9. Has anyone used this head at the maximum weight capacity? I am looking at using it on a slider with my F5 + heavy Canon Cine 17-120 lens. Approx 25-26 pounds. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

A: This is a very high quality video head that will work well at the higher end of the load capacity.

Q: 10. Is the same plate used on this the same as the FSB 8 side load?

A: yes
