The iLED-MA Micro Flood Light from ikan is an on-camera LED flood light with a 120° beam of light. With 21 daylight balanced LEDs, the Micro Flood is suitable for use as a key light in a single-person ENG-style interview or as a fill light for small groups. The unit is dimmable from 100 to 10% brightness and features an integrated rechargeable battery that you can recharge while using the light.

The light features a cold shoe mounting foot that fits into a standard hot shoe found on most DSLR and mirrorless cameras as well as many consumer camcorders. The mounting foot shoe incorporates a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting hole that allows you to use a variety of optional mounting accessories. An included magnetic diffusion filter mounts to the front of the light, allowing you to quickly add or remove light diffusion to your light.

The light features an integrated rechargeable battery that will power the light for approximately 90 to 120 minutes. It charges from a mini USB cable, and you can attach an external USB-style battery and charge the light while using it for extended battery life.

The light is dimmable from 100-10% without flickering.

The magnetically attached diffusion reduces exposure by approximately 1/4 stop.

A: I bought this with high hopes but couldn't use it because of my otter case. The lightning plug is too shallow for a thicker protective case. Couldn't say about the system. Just save everybody time and effort if you use a thick case. The return was very easy as always with the fine folks at B&H

A: The Zoom iQ7 will work with the iPhone 8 plus but will not accept an external microphone. The 1/8 connection on the side is an output jack for headphone monitoring.

A: The iQ7 is compatible wit the iPhone 6 and other iOS devices that feature a Lightning connector running iOS 6.0 or newer.

A: Phil, typical umbrella's aren't going to fit the iLED312-v2, if you really want to try and use them with this light, you will need an aftermarket clamp.

A: Agreed with the low amp charge. We have used regular usb outlets and others at times as they are thats available, but always had no issues so far.These are great lights and use them along side with the Ikan Micro Spot lights when areas ar confined or just a little light is needed.

Q: 7. How far out will this set light up something? What is the drop off in feet?

A: The drop off with all light sources are exactly the same; they are bound by the inverse square law. The inverse square law states that the power of the light will be inversely proportional to the square of the distance. So if you take a distance of 2 meters and square it, you get 4, the inverse of which would be 1/4 or rather, a quarter of the original light output power - not half. Simply put, if you double the original distance, the light is as strong as it was at the original distance.If you move the subject 3 meters from the light (3 * 3 = 9, so the inverse is 1/9th) the power of the light source now becomes 1/9th of what it originally was.At 4 meters away, the light is 1/16th its power compared to 1 meter away (4 *4 = 16, so the inverse is 1/16th). The above remains true with all light sources. The best I can recommend is to Google the inverse square law and lighting, as I cannot get into it here. But using the above as an example, if the ikan iLED312-V2 gave you an exposure setting of f/4 1/125 sec ISO 100 or f/11 1/60 sec ISO 400 at 20 inches (just under 2 feet), if you doubled the distance (40 inches, or just over 3 feet), equivalent settings for proper exposure would be f/4 1/30 sec ISO 100, f/11 1/8 sec ISO 400, or if you wanted the same aperture/shutter setting and instead changed the ISO, you may use f/4 1/125 sec ISO 400 or f/11 1/60 sec ISO 1600. At 80 inches (or just over 6.5 feet), you may use f/4 1/8 sec ISO 100 or f/11 sec ISO 400. If you wanted the same aperture/shutter setting and instead changed the ISO, you may use f/4 1/125 sec ISO 1600 or f/11 1/60 sec ISO 6400.

I bought this is use as on cam a 'eye light'and a soft fill. It works great... I plan to but a few more as they will work in a 2 - 3 point setup also. 5

These small lights are wonderful. I only wanted them to photograph small bowls, but i ended up using them to take process shots as well. The barn doors are great additions to the spot that control spill very well, but the built in diffuser and the warm amber filter were the big surprises. The spotlight is quite intense, but the diffuser and filter worked wonderfully to soften it. As both of the lights are 100% dimmable, I was able to adjust the balance in seconds. I will buy more of these inexpensive, lightweight little units. 5

After taking a look at many, many small panels ranging from dirt cheap to expensive, the Ikan ILED-MA seemed like the best going. I've used cheap and plentiful panels for several years and most require a lot of -Green filtration in addition to CTO filtration just to get them reasonably close to balance. That's a pain to have to test, filter and test some more. Most are also quite a bit larger and fairly flimsy in their construction. They are fine for many applications. However, as you up your game, you need to upgrade to better quality. Though this panel was 5x the price of the least expensive, it is worth the cost. It's sturdy, the CRI is 90+, has adjustable output and charges using a usb cable. I've used mine a few times shooting with my m43 camera and it's just enough output for both video and still. Size and weight are also nice for these smaller cameras. If you want one of the best small LED panels, this is the one! 5

I bought 3 of these all in all, along with 2 of the spotlights. You can dial the brightness up or down so you can see what your lighting ratios look like before you trip the shutter. 5

I purchased this light to use as fill light when photographing my kids indoors. They always make an awkward face when a flash goes off, so this continuous not overly strong light provides just enough light to remove shadows on their face. It's very light in weight and not any larger than a flash to carry around. Does not throw off your white balance the way most flashes do and another cheaper light I tried did, so another plus, works well from under 8-10 feet, depending on other surrounding light. 5
