The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a Switchcraft TA4F connector for use with Toa wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be attached to a Sirui P-324S monopod (or any monopod for that matter)? If so, are there additional accessories I need to purchase?

A: The Sachtler 0405 FSB-6T Fluid Head is strictly for tripod or dolly use for two reasons. 1.This fluid head has a ball base and the Sirui P-324S has a flat head so you cannot attach them together. 2.Also this fluid head is much too big and heavy for monopod use.As is, the Sirui P-324S works as a small, elegant video monopod with 360 panning and 20 tilting built in. If you need, you can add a small video head like the MVH500AH Fluid Video Head.

Q: 2. Thinking of moving up from some manfrotto heads. Manfrotto uses two different rosette patterns for their panbars. Is the sachtler pattern the same as either of the manfrotto?

A: Manfrotto and Sachtler Tripods will have different rosette patterns for different pan bars. They will nto be cross compatible.

Q: 3. Can the clamp be turned 90º so arca plates are oriented left-to-right instead of front-to-back?

A: Yes. You may use a hex key to reposition the quick release clamp on the Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head so it may be rotated 90 degrees so the head may be used to tilt the camera left-to-right instead of front-to-back.

Q: 4. What else do I need to buy to place this item on a monopod? The monopod currently does not have any head attached to it? Am confused about clamps, plates?

A: The plate is the piece you attach to the camera. You place the plate into the jaws of the clamp on top of this head. You attach the head to the monopod and you are in business. You need a plate. This s OEM but back ordered: Desmond DS-1 Bi-Directional Arca-Type QR Plate B&H # DEDS1. Here is one that is in stock that will fit. Oben QR-10 Quick Release Plate B&H # OBQR10

Q: 5. Does this head really weigh 2.2 lbs?

A: I did not weigh the head, but the weight seems appropriate. It is an excellent head and works great to hold my Schwarovski spotting scope.

Q: 6. What adapters do I need if I want to mount a peak design capture clip on this fluid head?

A: As the Peak Design Capture Clip V3 does not feature a tripod mounting screw, we would recommend using an Arca style baseplate, such as the Oben QRA-A2 Quick Release Assembly with QR-10 Plate, which would also accept Peak Design Arca-style plates. https://bhpho.to/3u4Ykt0

Q: 7. does this not come with a quick release plate if no what kind of quick release plate can this use??

A: The 128LP does not have a quick release system, it has a screw that you use to secure the camera directly on to the head. However you could add a quick release system to the top of this unit, such as the Manfrotto 394 Low Profile Quick Release Adapter or Oben QRA-R2.

Q: 8. Is this the side load version or the touch and go version? With their other heads, the T suffix means touch and go, but the B&H website describes it as side load .

A: Hi, this is the Touch & Go Version (S2046-0001). Thank you, description will be changed

Q: 9. How do I order another Quick release plate?

A: We are sorry to say that is not a part we sell. That is a Service Part which you'd need to obtain from the manufacturer directly. If you need assistance with that feel free to email us directly at askbh@bhphoto.com.

Q: 10. What is the difference between this head vs 0705 FSB-8T?

A: The T stands for Touch & Go plate. The FSB 8 comes with sideload attachment of camera plate
