The light beige E6X Omnidirectional Earset Microphone, Low Gain, No Cable is a vocal microphone with a flexible, adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and offers the versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earsets. It can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload.

In addition, the E6 earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset requires a cable (sold separately).

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6X is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and world-class sound.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performers face and available in multiple skin tones. Changeable caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The Omnidirectional E6X earsets provide more isolation and are suitable for houses of worship, theaters, and outdoor events.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I was trying to meter for the moon, but could it did not fill the 1 degree circle. Is there an attachment to narrow the spot further?

A: There are no other attachments to narrow the spot any further.

Q: 2. L-858D-U issue: Whenever I take a flash reading and the meter displays it, the readout suddenly changes to UNDER shortly thereafter. I, therefore, have to quickly make a mental note of what it was. Shouldn't the meter retain the last reading on the display until it's replaced by another reading? Is there a workaround for this?

A: If you are trying to read the flash exposure in hi speed synch mode, good luck. This meter would not perform that function with my Profoto B1s in hi speed synch no matter what I did. If you are using it to read normal flash output, you should be able to do that without any issues, via cord, cordless or Pocket Wizard trigger if you have the module installed. Try resetting the meter to factory defaults and see if it helps. I returned mine and kept my L758DR instead.

Q: 3. My prior question was poorly worded. I think this one is more to the point:I see the Ikan kit comes with 2 power adapters: 1 for AC and 1 for 12V DC.Can the light be powered by using either adapter while plugged-in to the respective power source instead of using the Sony batteries?OR, can the light only be powered by the Sony batteries? Thanks,

A: This light may be powered via AC or DC power. You may choose from battery or120 VAC or 12 VDC.

Q: 4. Is light specs the same as https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1657503-REG/comer_cm_tc300_torch_300_led_on_camera.html ?

A: Yes, this is the kit version of https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1657503-REG/comer_cm_tc300_torch_300_led_on_camera.html

Q: 5. I have one of these lights already but am looking to purchase another. Is there any way to link the 2 lights to a single remote?

A: Yes you can. The COMER Radiance 360 Variable Color LED On-Camera Light (2500 to 9900K) comes with a remote that has 3 channels on it. If you hold the Mode Button on this light it allows you to switch between channels 1, 2 and 3.

Q: 6. Can I select 2 out of 3 light groups to flash at once? Or is it only one or all?

A: The Godox module in the Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Godox allows you to access the Groups like the standard Godox transmitter.

Q: 7. Bought this & ordered 1-more LED light. Any link for light stand almost the same as this?

A: The stands that came with the COMER Radiance 360 On-Camera LED Panel (3-Light Kit) are not sold separate. But these are some options that will work with the light, https://bhpho.to/47xCAJ7.

Q: 8. I was looking at the Pro L-478, but decided I would prefer to have the spot meter option as well. Are the cine features between the 858 and Pro L-478 the same? Or does the 478 include other cine features that the 858 does not?

A: when I purchased the 858, I was upgrading from the 758. At the time, the 858 wasn't out yet, but I waited an extra month because the combination meter is super convenient for my job. (I'm a gaffer). The extra cine features aren't as important to me. Many of them are a bonus, but I use mostly basic functions. (Regardless, they both have pretty comparable features). The key for me was having combo so I keep less on my belt.

Q: 9. Can this work off-camera as a continuous studio light? Can it be mounted on a tripod? Cam it produce continuous light?

A: It can work as a continuous studio light either off AC mains or DC batteries - it takes two so either can be hot-swapped at any time, while the other is still supplying power to the light. It can be mounted to a tripod, i have mounted mine to a Manfrotto 501 head, the screw in the mounting plate screwed directly into the bottom of the light

Q: 10. What are the main differences between this and the discontinued TorchLED made by Core SWX? I know a lot a wedding videographers may be interested in this product.

A: The Comer and core are very similar in many ways but major difference are as followed The Comoer offers a wide range of color temperature control and output is bit stronger but not by much
