Q: 1. Can you recommend a mic I can use for general outdoor (nature) video shoots. Most of my video recording is done outdoors using natural sound? So far the built in mic has been adequate, but wondering if there's a better alternative. Thanks.

A: Hi Carl,I highly recommend the Audio-Technica AT-8022 for the reasons you mentioned. That is the mic that B&H recommended to me. Night and day difference from the built-in mic. I am a professional musician and use that exact camera-mic setup to record my live performances. People have told me that it feels like you are actually there. It is a stereo mic with a nice X-Y pattern to capture enough ambient noise. It has a more focused sound field the closer it is placed to the subject and gets wider as distance increases. All the necessary accessories are included for camera mounting. Well worth the money. If you would like to hear what the mic sounds like, please visit my YouTube channel: Kevin Baricar. Hope this helps your decision.-Kevin

Q: 2. Can it switch back and fourth between print sizes without having stop and switch out media sizes?

A: Yes! it's just your printing settings you need to adjust. Media kit has nothing to do with it. It will cut 2x6 or 4x6

Q: 3. Will this printer print 2x2 photos for passports?

A: Hi Diane. No, the smallest print size is 4x6, then you would need to cut down manually to 2x2. Another option since you already have the DS620A printer is to purchase a Tmini. When combined with the DS620, it creates our SL620A Snap Lab product which does have a passport feature/software in the system. Check out our website for details around the SL620A.

Q: 4. Hi can this be used with 220v? Thanks

A: The DNP DS620A Professional Photo Printer (B&H # DNDS620A) is compatible with input power between 100 and 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz.

Q: 5. When should I service my Canon XF100?

A: Join the Canon Professional Services and you can send in gear for an annual maintenance cleaning and check up as part of your membership. Good deal and worth the security of knowing you can get your gear taken care of promptly. They also have a loaner program if you want to try out equipment before you buy. Very nice.

Q: 6. Do you know if a Black Magic pocket cinema Camera will fit in this rig?

A: Since this kit is designed for larger Canon DSLRs the Pocket Cinema Camera would fit in it, but you may find it to be far more rig than you actually need. Also the power cable is for batteries that run off of an LP-E6. I would like to suggest the Lanparte Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Basic Handle Rig with Follow Focus instead. It will be more size appropriate for the Pocket Cinema Camera and you can always add the things it does not include, like a matte box and monitor.

Q: 7. Is this camera compatible with a wireless remote to turn it on/off if it’s mounted high and unreachable?

A: No, the Canon XF100 Digital Camcorder cannot be operated by a wireless remote when out of operating distance.

Q: 8. Will a 1DX mark ii fit on this rig?

A: This kit will work with 1D body

Q: 9. Hi, I wonder if this rig works fully with a Nikon D810 camera. I have the 14-24 2.8 the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 lenses. Can these lenses be used on this rig provided the D810 works ok here? Can some one shed some light into the battery pack shown? How does that work? is it usable for the Nikon? Sorry for silly questions but I'm just starting on cine. Thank you.

A: Carlos, as I used to say when I was in the movie business, Everyone has a first day on set. This rig will be great for your fine Nikon package. The camera can be mounted and the lenses supported if required. I would suggest you call or email us to order this kit and request the substitution of the battery coupler from the Canon battery to the Nikon battery type. See below. The big battery will not only power the camera, but the monitor and an external recorder if you get one. There are power outputs for every popular type of connection and voltage.

Q: 10. I know this is considered a DSLR rig, however, Can a EOS C100 Mark II. It looks like it would?

A: No, sorry, a C100 will not fit in the V2B cage; it is too tall. Please see link for camcorder, not DSLR, rigs that are meant for the C100. http://bhpho.to/1es2JOdOf these rigs, I would lean to these two.The Shape is quality made, it has the worlds fastest, easiest handle adjustment and it is offset so you should be able to use the eye finder. The Zacuto is the luxury set up but probably the best of all of them for it's compact balance and supreme control.

My most used film for sure. Colors and skin tones are great; relatively quite universal for what I shoot as well.

Purchased 1 roll a couple years ago from B&H, lots of joy with this film. Moderate vivid colors, grey and white tones separate perfect. The grain is worthy rather good and stable to under- and overexposure will I shoot the professional electronic reflex camera or my Pentax been from 1970s. Would buy this film again.

Currently on location in Central America shooting a project. I was slightly hesitant in buying the new Portra 160 blind, but I'm glad I decided to trust Kodak and my great history with the old Portra 160NC. This new Portra utilizes the best of 160NC and 160VC and combines them to make a powerhouse of a film. Having shot two rolls since my arrival, I am have been nothing but amazed with the results. Crisp images, fantastic color saturation and skin tone, well, they're the best I've seen on any film! Highly recommend this product. Do not be hesitant to try this new portra, the results will surprise and amaze.

Beautiful fine grain. Excellent and natural looking skin tones. My go to for portraits provided there is sufficient light. No complaints here. Like most colour negative films, err on the side of over-exposure if you're going to err.

t's like Kodak's professional film. Kodak's unique yellow tone decreases and has a tone that is closer to reality. It's a good film in many ways, but I think it's more suitable for photographing characters than scenery.

This is a hot take but if you're a Portra 400 kinda freak, try 160 bc dango tango, I prefer it.

Fuji-lover experimenting Kodak, have yet to develop my first Portras. The long expiry period (2023) gives me ample time to shoot them in their prime.
