The LensCoat Gimbal Tripod Head Cover (Digital Army Camo) is a form-fitted cover designed for a Jobu BSG-HD2 gimbal tripod head. The cover is made of closed-cell neoprene that provides protection from scrapes and bumps, preserving its appearance and resale value. It also helps break up the shape, making it less noticeable to wildlife. The cover also acts as a thermal barrier, helping to protect the hands in hot and cold temperatures.
Digital Army Camo is an advanced computer generated camouflage pattern. It is modeled after the U.S. Army's standard-issue ACU pattern, which provides a pixelated pattern that maximizes visual break up. The pattern, constructed from small rectangular pixels of color, mimics naturally occurring dappled textures and rough boundaries.
This item is made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Is this usable with Induro tripods?
A: Yes,If your tripod has a 3/8 stud it will work. I use my WH-200 on a Fiesol tripod with a 600mm f/4 and either a Nikon D500 or D810 with battery back.
Q: 2. Will this work for a Swarovski spotting scope? I want to digiscope with the spotting scope their TLS APO adapter, and ILC. Thanks for your help
A: I use the Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Tripod Head with a Sony 500mm f/4 lens and ILCA-77II camera. It works very well. I looked at the Swarovski scopes and see no reason why they could not be attached to the WH-200 Gimbal Head. All that would be needed is a quick release plate. The Wimberley P40 plate would work nicely. A shorter plate may work but it is better to be longer than too short. I believe you will be quite well pleased with the system. Of course the Wimberley head needs to be attached to a sturdy tripod. I use a Gitzo Series 5 Systematic tripod and it is very well built and sturdy but probably heavier than you need. Your application would probably work very well with a lighter Gitzo Series 3 tripod.
Q: 3. What is the material this head is made from??? Most of the competitors show that info, but is unavailable on this page in B and H. Thank you.
A: The upright is constructed of durable metal with the exception of the rubber knobs. The arm appears to be constructed of a lighter-weight metal and the knobs are plastic. Given the weight, the metal is not aluminum. The product is top notch and worth the money if you can afford it.
Q: 4. Will this work with the Peak Design carbon fiber travel tripod?
A: This would work with the Peak Design Tripod as long as it has the Universal Head Adapter, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1544430-REG/peak_design_tt_ad_5_150_1_universal_head_adapter.html?sts=pi&pim=Y
Q: 5. What type of video quality do you get from using this head, if shooting wildlife? Can you pan smoothly by increasing the tension, or does the video turn out to be jittery?
A: No jerk or shudder problems. This unit is solid as granite when screwed down, smooth as greased glass when adjusted to a light grip. You can shoot moving video, or track fast birds in flight while shooting multiple stills. Get the balance set and a medium tension, and it will move easily to any position - and stay there when you let go. It is a joy to use.
Q: 6. I have Mefoto C1350 Road trip tripod and Canon 100-400mm plus 1.4 Extender. Is my Tripod sturdy enough to use with the Wimberly Gimbal Head?
A: No. You need greater leg rigidity and a large mounting plate for the WH-200. Check out the Gitzo Systematic 3 Series for the appropriate tripod category. You may choose to accessorize with a leveling base but the WH-200 handles panning. A ballhead has, obviously, no role in this kind of rig.
Q: 7. What's the difference between a Wimberley Quick Release Plate and a Wimberley Replacement Foot? I am considering buying a Wimberley Gimbalhead WH-200 II for use with my Nikon 70-200mm AF-S 2.8 GII ED lens and am confused about the required accessory. Thank you.
A: The Quick Release Plate is attached to your existing camera foot on the rotation collar of your lens. The foot replacement is a low-profile replacement foot that will replace the factory foot on the rotation collar of your lens and also serve as quick-release plate. You need to research to see what foot plate you need (it might be the Wimberley AP-554 but I not sure.) I recommend you contact the manufacture or B&H to see if a foot is made for your specific lens.
Q: 8. Can I use a Gitzo G-1173-14B plate for WH-200, I have an RF100-500mm?
A: The Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Tripod Head II with Quick Release Base is compatible with standard arca plates. Wimberly makes the Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate which will be excellent for the foot on the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens. However, the Gitzo G-1173-14B Quick Release Plate with 1/4"-20 Screw for G1172, G1276/M, G1387B & G1285B Heads is a proprietary plate, which would only work with Gitzo-compatible heads.
Q: 9. If I use this gimbal head is there a need to have a ball head at all?
A: A gimbal head is designed to only work with long lenses that have a tripod collar. If you use shorter lenses you will need another head like a ball head.
Q: 10. Is 3 legged - Albert adequate for Wimberley WH-200? thanks in advance
A: Unclear question: Which product are you thinking about buying -- the Albert or the Wimberley?
