A: Go to menu, gear icon third page the first option is Pre-AF is usually on by default, this causes the camera to prefocus (and hunt) as long as is on! Turn it off and try n see if it helps you out.

Finally, no, this is not a full frame camera. I expect it will be quite a few years before you can buy a full frame for this price.
