Q: 1. is this compatible with metabones canon to sony adapter with siny a7s or -fs7 ?

A: Sorry , i don't have idea. I'm only use canon .

Q: 2. Will this extender work with the Canon 800 mm f/5.6 L and the 5D Mark IV?

A: Yes, the Canon Extender EF 2X III will work with the Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM Lens (BH #CA80056LISEF) and the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera (Body Only), BH #CAE5D4.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Canon 5d mark iii and a Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens?

A: The Canon extenders (teleconverters) are only compatible with a select number of Canons telephoto lenses. Unfortunately, the EF 2X III is not compatible with the EF 100mm f/2.8L macro lens. You would need to use a third party teleconverter, such as one from Kenko or Tamron. http://bhpho.to/1g2cCuT

Q: 4. Is this compatible with a sigma 120-300 F2.8 sport series lens?

A: I dont know because I use it with Canon lenses.

Q: 5. Will this extender work properly with tha Canon 6D body + Sigma 70-200MM F2.8 OS?

A: Sorry, I only have Canon lenses.

Q: 6. still no auto focus with Canon EOS/100-400 IS II lens?

A: When used with a 2X extender, the 100-400mm becomes a 200-800mm f/9.5-11 lens. So, the lens will lose too much light for any Canon camera to retain autofocus. The f/9.5-11 is beyond any current Canon DSLRs ability to retain autofocus.

Q: 7. Will this work with a Canon 5d mark iii and a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Lens? Will this work with a Canon 5d mark iii and a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens? Will this work with a Canon 5d mark iii and a Canon 85mm f/1.2L II lens?

A: This converter is compatible with the 5D MK III and the 200mm f2.8 L II USM lens as well as the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens. It is not compatible with the 85mm f1.2 L II lens.

Q: 8. Will this extender work with a Canon 5D Marc III, using the Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens in Auto Focus or will this be a manual focus only option. How much clarity, if any, will be lost.

A: Unfortunately, you will lose autofocus using the Canon 2x EF Extender III with the 70-200mm f/4L IS on the 5D III. The extender will have an impact on the image quality you are used to getting from the lens, but the quality will be noticeably better than cropping the image.

Q: 9. will the autofocus work? using adapter EF-RF in my R5 , and my canon EF 70-200 2.8 L IS s3?

A: Yes, all mirrorless cameras bodies from Canon will allow lenses to autofocus even if the lens minimun aperture is above F/8. To use the Canon Extender EF 2X III with your Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens and Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera you also need one of Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R.

Q: 10. I have an R5 and a lens adapter for my EF 100-400 lens. Will this extender work with this setup? And, will the autofocus work?

A: Yes, the combination of the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera (B&H # CAER5) with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (B&H # CAMAEFRF) adapting the Canon Extender EF 2X III and the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens (B&H # CA1004002LIS) will work.

Gives the extra reach with nice image quality. I really have not noticed any loss of IQ with this extender. Autofocuses nicely. If you don't want to spend the money on a 300mm lens this is the way to go. No regrets in purchasing this.

This extender is great it does not slow the lens down and the auto focus works great with it on and no image quality is lost.

With the new firmware update for the 5D Mark III which came out on 10/30/13 I can now use this teleconverter on my 100-400mm without losing autofocus. Granted, it's only with the center cross focusing mode, but it's better than no autofocus. I knew I'd only get f/8 at the 400mm end. I also expect my set-up to autofocus a bit slower as well, but the 100-400 is a slow focuser anyway. Just received it today from B&H and only took a couple test shots out the door 'cause of weather.

I needed a little more reach on my 70-200 F2,8 II lens, and this fit the bill. I do a lot of roller derby photography - fast moving skaters in a low light environment. My focus seems to be just as quick with the 1.4 extender, and the sharpness is great. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Purchased this teleconverter to work with my 70-200mm f/2.8L and my 100-400mm f/4.0-5.6L lens. For a modest price, I am able to add 1.4x additional reach with this device. Works well with my lens.

The extender works well and when combined with other l lens they make a very good workable pair the af works well with the 100-400 lens.

I use the 1.4 extender with the 600mm IS II lens for bird and wildlife photography and am very satisfied with it. It is extremely sharp--I don't notice any fall-off when I am using the extender as opposed to just the lens itself. Well worth the purchase price. I have attached couple of photos, reduced from original size, using the extender with the 600mm lens.

Well, only inexpensive if you are avoiding the purchase of a longer lens..... I use it with a Canon 100-400mm zoom. Many reviewers have criticized that setup, but I find it acceptable with a few caveats. First, on a solid mount and carefully focused, my results have been pretty good. But, autofocus absolutely does not work with my Canon 60D. I just go manual focus and it works fine. The combination is essentially a 600mm focal length f8 lens with no autofocus. After checking the price of a 600mm f4 autofocus lens, the extender looks a little better. I'll spring for the big lens someday, but not today.

The 1.4 extender is a nice 'boost' to my 70 - 200 mm lens. Very easy to install, though I generally leave it connected to one lens. It's added focal length with amazing clarity. Not like the dark extenders of the old days.
