Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do you use the Raynox 250 with extension tubes. I have an Olympus micro 4/3rds system with a 60mm macro lens.

A: The Raynox 250 lens includes a Snap-on universal mount suitable for 52mm to 67mm filter sizes. You could use it alone or instead use an extension tube set for MFT.

Q: 2. Can this clip to the front of a camcorder? I have a Canon HF S10 with 58mm filter threads. thanks

A: I should think that it could. On the Raynox website, it says: DCR-250 is also suitable to 4K/High Definition Camcorders, and gives a list of adapters for camcorders:http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/dcr/dcr250/indexdcr250eg.htm

Q: 3. It's recommended to use this with a zoom extended to maximum. Begging the question - what would I get if I put it on Fuji X100v, with its fixed 28mm lens?

A: We cannot test so it is my opinion that if you were to attach this somehow, the image would vignette and be out of focus. The X100 with its lens is not a macro camera but you can focus to 3.94" or about 2" from the front of the lens. You can add a close-up filter easily. Here is a very good close up filter set. It will get you very close. Hoya 49mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II (+1, +2, and +4) BH #HOCUS2MC49 • MFR #A-49CUS-II

Q: 4. Does the lens screw into the universal adapter? Would like to use step down ring instead of the adapter.

A: The macro lens is screw onto the universal adapter (or mount, which is supplied). The snap-on universal mount is suitable for 52mm to 67mm filter size. This DCR-250 is useful, in that, you can use it on different filter size as stated.

Q: 5. Just to be sure, I have a Tamron 18-200 62mm that I understand I can use it with

A: Yes, the Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens can be used on lenses with a filter thread of 52 - 67mm.

Q: 6. Hello.Does it work well with Nikon P900 67mm giving a full image.Thank you,

A: It will fit on your camera and I beleive it should work fine. However it has never been tested by Raynox

Q: 7. The Canon RF 100 2.8L Macro has 1.4x magnification. Will the Raynox DCR-250 give this lens a 3.5x mag rate?

A: Although it is possible to stack lenses and filters, the Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens has a rear 43mm filter, while the Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Lens has a 67mm filter. The two products do not directly mount.

Q: 8. What is the difference between this lens and the Digital drive version for $42,000.

A: Canon quotes that the advanced digital drive unit deploying 16-bit encoders is fully compatible with the zoom, focus and iris controllers used with established broadcast 2/3-inch HDTV cameras. Three 20-pin connectors on the drive unit interface with these controllers (such as ZSC-300D and FPD-400D) while also providing a 16-bit interface to virtual systems. The unit empowers a variety of operational capabilities that are set up using the on-board display on the Canon CJ24EX7.5 IASE 4K UHD 2/3" Portable Lens.

Q: 9. Will it fit the Sony 90mm macro lens

A: Yes, but this adapter is made for telephoto lenses, in macro lenses gives poor quality images and a lot of distortion, because macro lenses have the first cristal inside. Best lens for this is 150mm or more telephoto.

Q: 10. Will the raynox DCR 250 work on a Sony Cybershot DSCH 400 63x?

A: the DCR 250 is great way to explore the world of macro if you're on a limited budget, The Raynox DCR-250 is not a dedicated lensmeaning you cant attach it directly to your camera. Youll have to clip it to a lens with a filter size between 52mm to 67mm. The clips grab on to the internal ring on the front lens element. if your sense is smaller than 52 mm you'll need a step down ring. also check that you can add a filter to the lens. What is so great about the Raynox DCR-250 is that you can easily clip it to most lenses and instantly increase your magnification power
