Countryman E6 Flex Earset Microphone (beige)

The Countryman E6 Flex Microphone combines the springy, form-fitting ear grips of the E6, with the flexible and durable boom of the E6i earset microphone. The E6 Flex provides virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.
The E6 Flex includes hypercardioid and cardioid caps which effectively minimize off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.
A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is beige and the cable terminates to a 4-pin Twist Lock connector for Sony wireless transmitters.

A miniature capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.
This E6 Flex's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.
The fit of the classic E6 meets the flexibility of the E6i. The front boom is like an E6i, the ear section is like the classic E6, the result is the best fitting easiest to use earset available.
Countryman Earsets are the smallest, lightest, and least visible head-worn microphones. The E6 Flex comes in four skin tones to disappear against the face.
Changeable protective caps let you switch between cardioid and hypercardioid patterns in seconds.
Frequency response is better than 30Hz to 15kHz with smooth off-axis response and >100dB dynamic range. Countryman Earsets sound like world-class, full size performance mics but the performer has complete freedom.
The E6i is exceptionally resistant to makeup, sweat and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The skin-colored, almost unbreakable boom resists water, sweat, and makeup and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The front boom of the E6 Flex is slightly firmer than our E6i, so it's easily shaped right on the performer's face and smoothes out for a professional look.
The E6 Flex comes in three sensitivities for different speaking or singing styles, with up to 140 dB SPL capability.
With other microphones a worn cable requires purchasing a completely new mic. An E6 replacement cable easily replaces it in less than a minute. Quick-connect miniature 1 mm or 2 mm super-rugged cables are available in four colors for almost any wireless transmitter or phantom mic input providing 3 - 48V.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. In 4k60 mode, there's a crop. Does that mean if you need to shoot 4k60 then using a crop lens will work perfectly as expected with the usual APS-C crop? We have lots of crop lenses from Sony.
A: Yes, that will work. Assuming the lens you are working with covers a Super 35 area, then it will be fine when recording 4K 60p or other frame rates with the Super 35 crop setting in place.
Q: 2. can you export cf express files directly from the camera?
A: No. All info must be exported via memory card or Tethering system.
Q: 3. Sony A7 IV does not output RAW Video. Why does this kit suggest possibility of the RAW video recording?
A: Sony a7 IV mirrorless camera can record 4:2:2 10-Bit via HDMI UHD 4K at 60p when connected to an external recorder like Atomos Ninja V 5" 4K HDMI Recording Monitor BH #ATNINJAV.
Q: 4. Will we have the same amount of focus points and snappiness for real time eye AF in Super 35 4k60p mode like in full sensor read out mode aka 4k24p/30p?
A: The full frame Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera (B&H# SOA74) has 759 on-sensor phase detection focus points as well as 425 contrast detection points. They reside in the center 94% of the sensor image area, leaving only a thin border around them without such designated points. However, when shooting in cropped (APS-C/Super 35) mode, the number of such points is about half of those figures. According to the AF algorithm, the camera will choose the appropriate point(s) at which to focus and then use that/those focus point(s) to attain critical focus. In AF-S mode, the additional step of using contrast AF to confirm focus is used to maximize accuracy. . . at the cost of very slightly reducing focus speed. Since cropped mode reduces the number of points from which to choose, it's possible that focus is very slightly faster when shooting like that. . . but from our experience it's just not noticeable as once the point(s) has/have been selected the actual focusing is the same speed. The area that point is in doesn't make it any faster, whether that's in the wider, full frame, or the APS-C/Super 35 middle part of the frame. If focus speed is a concern, be sure to shoot in AF-C and continuous mode with focus speed set at maximum. In video mode, set AF Transition Speed to 7 (i.e. fastest). Relatedly, if you want the focus to jump quickly to new subjects specifically that may be entering the frame then also set AF Subj. Shift Sensitivity to 7. (You won't set the AF Subj. Shift Sensitivity to a high number (such as 7) if you want focus to stay on the current subject of focus for tenaciously.)
Q: 5. Would this be a good camera to use the aps c mode
A: Yes, the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera (B&H# SOA74) allows for use in cropped (APS-C) mode both during video and still shooting. That cropping increases the effective focal length by 50%, something that video shooters in particular will especially appreciate.
Q: 6. Hello, has there been any solutions offered by SONY to address the reports of overheating?
A: To reduce overheating issues with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera and other cameras, here are some potential solutions: - While shooting, use the LCD screen swung out. - Use an external battery and record to an external recorder and not an internal memory card. Please note that overheating often happens when shooting in 4K at the highest fps.
Q: 7. What resolution will I get if I use APS-C lenses on the 33mp sensor? I have a ton for my A6400 and love my little Sigma's.
A: The A7IV will have approximately 13.8~14 megapixels in APS-C/Super35 mode.
Q: 8. In a7iii the Face Focus stops when you shoot in 120fps... In the a7iv is possible to shoot in 120fps with Face Focus?
A: No, Face Focus will not engage at 120fps.
Q: 9. can you view the LCD screen on the camera with out flipping it out by rotating it then returning it to the rear of the camera ?
A: The LCD can be viewed when it is flush against the camera body and it can be used when flipped out and rotated to the side (either option works).
Q: 10. Can this output 4k60 over hdmi?
A: Yes, the Sony A7IV can output 4K UHD video at 60p externally.
