While I was at the store, I stopped by the canon counter at B&H, Manhattan, and the sale person explained to me that the lens is fully manual. You have to manually choose your fstop and focus manually as well (No AF). Once he told me that, I bought it right back and I love it. You must know what fstop to use. I hope this help.
