Q: 1. Wich focal lenght can be used with this adapter below 50mm focal lenght in full frame dslr .. Can i use it with 35mm focal lenght lens ? With 28mm ... Or better using with micro 4-3 sensor size ?

A: When using a full frame camera you can use focal lengths between 70-100mm. For both APS-C and MFT Cameras the range goes from 35-100mm.

Q: 3. I've borrowed this from a friend, and tested it on all of my Vintage Nikon Primes. It worked on my 50, 85, 105, 200 but it created a bad vignette on my 35 and 24. Is there a solution to that, besides not using those lenses?

A: I am afraid most likely nothing can be done. (I wish we could test it) That is because the Anamorphot is simply a cylinder with glass elements in it. While this is fine for the longer lenses, to work with the wider ones, it appears that the cylinder would have to be enlarged. Do know that anamorphic lenses in the 1950's were not very wide either do to design constraints as well. Panavision's venerable anamorphic C lenses only opened to 35mm. Introduced fairly recently, Panavision's newer G series has gotten to 25mm.

Q: 4. Hi there! Would you attach a filter like f.e. a Tiffen black pro mist or an ND-filter in front or in between the taking lens and the Anamorphot? Any idea?Thanks to all of you in advance! =M

A: We would think that there would be no problem with either mounting the filter on the front or the rear of the Anamorphot. Of course, experience is the best teacher and hopefully someone can chime in on that.

Q: 5. Will this work on my Sony X70 Camcorder (it has a 62mm Front thread)?

A: While you may be able to physically connect the Anamorphic Adapter to the PXW-X70, we are not sure how well it would actually work. That is something you would need to test out to see the results. This adapter is a Returnable Item at this time.

Q: 6. Does the Anamorphot adapter work with full frame sensors? Dan Chung wrote it only works on Super35mm sensors.

A: I use it on my D800 for photography and have no issues.

Q: 7. Will this work with: Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L

A: This will depend on the camera you are using in this equation. That camera must have a 4:3 anamorphic mode as this is a 2.0x adapter. Also it will need to be in the APS-C format as this adapter supports focal lengths between 35 and 100mm for APS-C and MFT format sensors. For a full frame sensor it supports 70 to 100mm for full-frame format sensors and the Sigma 45mm would be too wide. If you are within the proper parameters for the camera being used you would then need a 55-62mm adapter, BH #SESURPA5562.

Q: 8. Can i use this lens with a 16:9 projector to create cinemascope projection images? The schnider lenses for this specific use is so much expensive!

A: While we do not know of anyone doing this, we are of the opinion that since the numbers of 16:9 and 1.33x are in the correct relationship, excellent widescreen movie viewing will result.

Q: 9. I got a Canon T2i (APS-C) and a Sigma 30mm prime and Canon 50mm prime. Will this work on any/or both of those two lenses?

A: SLR Magic recommends that with the Anamorphot-50 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter that you use lenses in the 35-85mm focal length. So probably the 30mm will vignette and not be optimal.

A: Check out YouTube, there are videos on this. Most people use the flashlight on thier mobile phone, stand 3 fest back, shine the light into the lens and adjust until flare is horizontal
