The 19" 8-Port LCD USB KVM Switch from Aten features an integrated 19" LED-backlit LCD panel allowing access and control with up to 8 computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). As many as 8 additional switches can be cascaded bringing the total number of connected computers to 128 computers that can be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console.

The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for the computers. The CL1308 intercepts keyboard input directly, thus eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily accomplished either by manually pressing the front panel push button port LEDs, entering hotkey combinations from the keyboard, or via a menu driven multilingual on-screen display (OSD) system. LCD KVM switch offers a space-saving, streamlined approach to KVM switching technology by integrating an LCD panel, full keyboard, and touchpad into a 1U rack-mountable sliding housing.

Q: 1. when a pc is connected through this switch, during boot are the motherboard bios screens, shown in the monitor? that is the post report, or the boor menu if called for , the bios itself if called for.............I just returned a Tripp Lite 4 port display port switch that would not display any video until the windows welcome screen which is when the windows video drivers take over...... A switch that will not display the motherboard bios...has no value...Tech support had no comment...these PC worked perfectly with a StarTach switch...so no issue with the PCs

A: Yes, this switch should do the trick. I use this switch for my work laptop, which uses disk encryption and won't boot windows until a password is entered. I also have my desktop machine connected to the switch and see the BIOS splash screen and on occasion I've interrupted the boot process via keyboard (connected to the switch) to modify the BIOS setting.
