Q: 9. Hi, I just got this camera and am learning it, but it seems as soon as I turn it on, I'm hearing little clicking noises, like the camera is trying to constantly find focus, even when the shutter is not depressed. Happens in all modes. Do I have something wrong in my settings, or a camera issue to address? Thanks in advance.

A: Hey there. Not really. Mine doesn't do that. Did you try to contact somebody from canon or B&H. It sounds weird to me...

I bought an a6000 for a trip to Guatemala so I wouldn't have to take my big DSLR, and wasn't sure what to expect. I couldn't be more happy. It has some amazing functions (I mean, who doesn't want to do panos with the swipe of the arm?), and the menu system was a lot easier to pick up than I expected.

Will it be a replacement for my Nikon D810s? No, but I've already used it in a business application - and when I just need a banging-around camera, this fits the bill nicely.

An excellent camera.  Accessories are good, except the camera bag which is too small to hold the camera and lenses - the zipper already broke trying to close it.  Still, its a great deal for the camera and lenses.  Recommended.

I have two of the best sony cameras the Sony a7R III and the latest a7 III, the reason I bought this one is to do time-lapses which requires a lot of photos in order to create the videos, I don’t want to put all those high shutter counts in my other cameras so this one is perfect for 4K video time-lapses.

I actually went backwards in this purchase.  I bought the a6500 first.  I love it!  Its been a four-month love affair!  I primarily use the a6500 for video shooting in my recording studio.  I bought the a6000 to use as my B camera (Both are set to 24FPS.  The a6500 shoots 4K and the a6000 1080P).

So far, Im happy with the a6000.  Honestly, Ive looked at video of both and both are great!  I shoot some still too and believe the a6500 does a better job.

I know this camera is about four years old- pretty old for camera technology.  I think the a6500 is right at that leveling-off spot.  What I mean is while the technology will get better, the benefit wont lean to the high-end as much as it used to.

But this is about the a6000.  Im happy with it!  Its a great tool!

This is such an amazing camera! Truly outstanding photo quality, lots of useful features, lightweight & very easy to carry. The 16-50mm lens I need more practice with but so far Im not near as happy with it has the 55-210 lens its what gives this review the fifth star. If your wanting to upgrade your camera or get into photography/videography this is the way to go!

This camera is small and lightweight which makes it perfect for traveling (it can fit in your pocket). I gave this camera a solid five stars, because in my personal opinion it's everything it claims to be. I bought this camera not long after it first came out and for the longest time I used the lens kit that came with it and that was it...no external flash or nicer lenses or any other equipment. Just the camera and the 16-50mm lens that came with it. The Sony a6000 was everything that I needed when I was starting out. The Autofocus is "ok" at best during low light situations, but that never really bothered me simply because I prefer manual focus for those circumstances. I see this camera as a entry-level camera, because it has just enough capabilities to allow you to dip your toes into potentially the pro-level. If you travel a lot and looking for an affordable camera that's easy to carry with you, I'd recommend this one. It's lightweight, takes great videos and pictures, and is just a well rounded camera that would suit most if not all of your needs. My only advice would be to invest in some prime lenses, they will make a world of difference.

I wanted to have a camera to hold as a walk around the town view the most beautiful moments of my daily path but sometimes carrying a large camera does fit into my daily activities. This Sony is light and also takes wonderful photos that I would recommend sharing with your family and friends at moments in which you can share a light camera and enjoy, The cost is also reasonable. This is the best camera set for a low budget. I added a fast lens (35 mm f/1.8) as well and have it less than $1200. Now I can shoot anything. I also downloaded the time lapse program at $9.90; this is an amazing program.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the range of this camera. I wanted something lightweight without sacrificing too much capability and this has suited me well. Three photos I have taken thus far are fantastic and I am about to pick up a new lens to further this cameras abilities. Would recommend to anyone starting out photography as a hobby and do not want to break the bank.
