I was looking for a mirrorless digital camera to replace some heavy and outdated Nikon gear and I wanted to keep the price under $1000. So after reading all the reviews on several forums and elsewhere I decided the Sony A6000 with a16-50mm and a 55-210mm lens would fit the bill perfectly. I have not been disappointed. It took some searching and a lot of reading to figure out the menus on this camera and the owner's manual is not a lot of help. Once I had figured out how I wanted it configured I love it. I love it so much I bought another one. I now have several excellent Sony lenses for them and they have performed beautifully. I have had no problems with them and have been more than satisfied with their size, weight, performance, sharpness, and color rendition. For someone who doesn't want to carry around 50 lbs of photo gear but requires a first-rate camera that provides excellent performance check out the Sony A6000. You may just like it.

I have a Sony a65 full size camera which I love! For travel photo trips however, I wanted more of a pocket camera. The a6000 which I took on a trip in june, 2017 to Yellowstone produced the same excellent results as the a65! It has the same sensor. It also has a view finder that allows a better view in bright sun light when doing landscape's which is mostly what I shoot! Also the 16 to 55 mm lens closes almost completely into the body. The cost with 2 lens is a bargain ..I love this camera.

I bought this camera for my wife who already owns a Sony NX5 and a Sony DSLR. The Alpha 6000 is now her go to camera for just about everything she photographs. All the features of a new DSLR camera but half the weight and size. Blazing fast focus never misses and works with all of her older E lenses and DSLR lenses with the Sony adapter. I elected to get her the gorgeous silver and black finish body that is reminiscent of neo-modern rangefinder camera in the mirrorless package and the fit and finish is excellent. Unlike the Nex 5 the Alpha 6000 incorporates an electronic viewfinder into it's light and compact body that is bright and sharp and a welcome addition over the older Nex 5. Current pricing of the Alpha 6000 is very good for such a feature laden camera and although the newer Alpha 6300 and 6500 may have additional features in more robust packaging you would be hard pressed to find the same value for money! As expected B&H service was excellent and delivery was faster than I anticipated, even with the need to clear customs into Canada.

70 years of searching for the best camera is over. this is it! ( for Me ). I s hoot candid portrats ; alot of perfromers in poor light. . It finds the light, and the color. the speed of the Autofocus is as fast as Human. . I am Pushing up into 5000ISO and it still absorbs every pour. I has taken to giving it to friends to shoot me! they have become instant experts. .

This is one very fine camera. Images are outstanding and auto-focus is the fastest of any mirrorless camera I have ever used. Very near DSLR speed. This is my carry everywhere camera. Love the viewfinder!

I am still learning to use this camera, but it is the best I have ever had. I would like to get more lenses, but the 16-50mm works fine for the camera hobbyist. I especially like the panorama option because I love taking landscape photos but can not yet afford a super wide angle lens. The camera is super fast at focusing and tracking your subjects, and takes beautifully sharp, bright photos. It has so many features and options, I would suggest watching videos and workshops so you don't miss anything
