The AE400 Active EQ v6 from McDSP is four completely overlapping bands of fixed and active equalization for Mac and Windows computers with Q (bandwidth), fixed gain, and active gain controls. It is designed for post production, studio production, and live sound applications.

The AE400 plug-in provides a key filter for each band and allows the active gain response to be as selective or broad as needed based on the Q (bandwidth) control. Each band can use the input signal or selected side chain signal to trigger the active EQ response.

The active EQ bands can be controlled via the response plot itself, or from the text readouts above and below the response plot. The AE400's active EQ response is determined by each band's threshold, attack and release settings. Additionally, a ratio control determines the input signal level sensitivity to further articulate how the active EQ will reach its maximum active equalization.

Peak signal text readouts for each active EQ band's key signal allow quick setup of each band's active EQ threshold, and are located underneath the band's dynamics plots. Input and output controls, individual band bypass, band control linking, and band key signal monitoring round out the features of the AE400.

The Native plug-ins provide AAX-Native for use with Pro Tools, but also includes Audiosuite, Audio Units and VST versions for use with other DAWs including Logic, Digital Performer (DP), Cubase, and Ableton Live.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. for M100 version key features shows 328' feet depth rating and spool but product shows only 100 m TETHER SPOOL?

A: The depth rating of the QYSEA FIFISH V6 Expert M100 Underwater ROV 328 feet or 100 meters, which the included tether spool can accommodate.

Q: 2. this device works at 220 V?

A: The A-Designs Hammer 2 EQ Equalizer accepts 120-230 VAC.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with mounting celestron advanced cg5 gt?

A: It works with my CG-5 mount, which I purchased in 2003.

Q: 4. Do other circular filters work or does it specifically have to be Nisi?

A: No, other filters will not integrate with Nisi's gear system and will be unable to be rotated once inserted. Nisi makes two circular polarizers that are knurled on the side in order to work with this adapter ring. They are the NIPV5CPL or the NIPV5CPLNC, both designed for select NiSi filter holders.

Q: 5. Has anyone used this with heavy equipment such as a Nikon D750 and 200-500 f5.6 lens? Combined this setup would weigh 7lb (with tripod mount), which is under the 11lb load rating of the mount. However I'm after the experience of someone who's actually used similar, heavy equipment with this mount, to understand if it still tracks well and is up to the task.

A: I used it with a Nikon D800 and the 200-500 f5.6 lens (with a 1.4x teleconverter) during the solar eclipse last year with no issues. I can't really comment on actual tracking accuracy with this setup, since my daytime polar alignment was far from perfect. It did seem to track reasonably well, but due to my poor polar alignment I had to make periodic adjustments.

Q: 6. will this controller work wit celestron nexstar 8 se?

A: You would need the AZ Version. The Celestron NexStar+ AZ Hand Controller will work. Website link: https://bhpho.to/2CD4uof

Q: 7. What firmware version number does this controller have?

A: It depends on the time when the hand control was issued. For more information, contact Celestron Technical Support at: mail@celestronsupport.com to find out the latest firmware release. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 8. My tripod does not have a leveling base. Could I mount this tracker on top of my ball head to get it level or does this tracker need to mount directly to the tripod and therefore requires adjusting leg length to be level?

A: The Model has a 3/8"-16 socket, so you would need an Adapter to reverse it to a 1/4"-20. I don't recommend doing this, and the weight could be top heavy. I would recommend just mounting this onto the Legs only.

Q: 9. Would this unit work well to EQ lavalier mics? Mobile DJ who uses them in many different environments. Thanks!

A: This equilizer would be used to adjust the main output of a sound mixer system, and would allow you to focus in frequencies that may be causing feedback. Idividual channels on a mixing board would be used to adjust the microphones.

Q: 10. Manufactures website shows a "Q-camera" or "sport camera mount" yet no specs or option to purchase. Is that future options or now options? Could it support other cameras?

A: The accessories for the QYSEA FIFISH V6 Expert M100 Underwater ROV are only being sold direct by QYSEA.

I really love iOptron SkyGuider Pro star tracker. It's easy to use and has provided great tracking for me so far, giving sharp stars using my DSLR. I wish the polar scope light would stay on all the time, rather than the declination bracket having to be in a certain position before the light comes on. But, it's a small inconvenience and I think it's outweighed by all its positive points. All-in-all, a great little tracker that's portable, affordable, and very capable.

I have a larger Losmandy tripod and tracking mount for my telescope and astrophotography, but for more portable situations and times where wide-angle views are being taken, like typical Milky Way shots, this is perfect.

This is my first startracker mount, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it works very well. I took it out that night, got it aligned, and I was able to get 2 minute exposures with only a little star trailing. It was my first time, so I'm obviously not gonna get a great polar alignment. But it the tracker worked well.

Side note, But I dropped it about 5 feet onto the floor, and everything still worked perfectly. So, I can at least say it's build quality is quite good!

The SkyGuider Pro is very easy to use. I have been using mine every clear night I get. The hardest part is getting a perfect polar alignment but with time it keeps getting easier.

Highly recommend with a tripod without a ball head. My ball head tripod barely holds the weight of this set up with my camera.
