The Novoflex Magic Ball 50 with Socket Head gives you instant access to 85% of a sphere, making this far and away the quickest way to position the ball head. There is no vertical notch necessary. The surface is coated with a scratch-resistant, smooth shell which reduces vibration transmission while allowing the user to move the gear with ease and expedience. There is no independent panning capacity, however. This can be solved by using the Novoflex Universal Panorama Plate. Together these two pieces provide quicker use than all other ball heads.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What does the 50 in the name of this product mean?

A: I think it's a newer version of this anamorphic adapter. Before it was called 40.The one I got from here didn't have thumb screws to lock it. If I'm not wrong, you can now lock it

Q: 2. I got a Canon T2i (APS-C) and a Sigma 30mm prime and Canon 50mm prime. Will this work on any/or both of those two lenses?

A: SLR Magic recommends that with the Anamorphot-50 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter that you use lenses in the 35-85mm focal length. So probably the 30mm will vignette and not be optimal.

Q: 3. My set up is bmpcc 4k with Canon EF to BMPCC4K T Speed Booster® XL 0.64x, Which taking lenses does SLRA50-2x with rangefinder support ? for wide, medium, long shots.

A: You will be able to connect the SLR Magic HyperPrime 50mm T0.95 Lens with MFT Mount, BH #SL5095MFT, directly to the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. It has the same mount as the camera and has the proper filter thread, lens diameter and focal length to work. https://bhpho.to/2qv8BS7

Q: 4. the ursa mini pro and ursamini 4.6k now has 3K 4:3 anamorphic mode, with that being said this 2x anamorphot should work with it correct?

A: Yes, it should work if paired with an appropriate focal length as stated by SLR Magic.

Q: 5. HI, is there a way to attatch this to a 67mm lens? Like the Sigma 35mm? Thanks!

A: You can use the General Brand 67mm-62mm Step-Down Ring (Lens to Filter) to attach the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 to a Sigma 35mm lens and it's 67mm filter threads.

Q: 6. What proportions would this lens yield on 2:3 full-frame sensor, such as the 5D MII?

A: 3.00:1 is our opinion.

Q: 7. Hello. Does it work with SLR Magic 25mm T0.95 HyperPrime Cine III Lens (MFT Mount)? Thank you for you answer.

A: does very good

Q: 8. Hello Everyone!I want to ask you 3 questions about anamorphics in the gh5s!1) Do you think the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 2.0x with Rangefinder Cinema Adapter Kit set is a good buy?2) Does the 2.0x of slr magic means that it doubles the width? same focal length but twice as wide?3) I bought the SLR Magic 25mm T0.95 HyperPrime Cine III Lens and it seemed to me of very good quality and I am thinking of buying the other lenses of this line. the 17 mm, 50mm and maybe the 35mm (or the 42.5mm of Voigtlander Nokton) the question is, if the equivalent of 35mm to the gh5s of all these lenses is x2, example the 17 is 34. what is the modification when you add it the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 2.0x ???Thank you very much!!!!

A: 1) its ok but not fantastic. Only useful if you have a lot of space between you and the subject (as with all anamorphics). Think sets and outside location. Real life interiors are not a good fit. 2) correct 3) I have found it only works with lenses from 50mm (with speedbooster) and above, hence my answer for question 1 - you mostly just get close-ups. Also F-stop needs to be 3.5-4 and up or it's very fuzzy and hard to focus. My recommendation is to definitely TRY IT FIRST as there is no return policy. Also, on my gh5, the data rates for anamorphic are way too small, 150Megabits compared to regular shooting 400 All-Intra. Maybe with atomos would be better. Very particular type of lens setup, slow to change lenses, very few projects can benefit from it.

Q: 9. Hi, does this work with the Sony fe 90mm, f2.8 ?

A: It does not. For a full frame camera the focal length must be between 40-85mm. This lens is too telephoto. Your best option for a telephoto lens that is Full Frame E-mount is the SLR Magic Cine 75mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount, B&H # SL7514FE. That lens is the proper focal length, has the proper outer diameter and filter thread for the Anamorphot adapter. https://bhpho.to/2EQPSXm

Q: 10. Can I put a 72-77 step up ring on a lens, and then attach this and keep full functionality?

A: That may not be possible. The Anamorphot product only works with lenses that have a 50mm front diameter or less. The 72mm aspect is the front of the Anamorphot to attach to the Rangefinder.
