The Avid HD MADI digital audio interface allows the integration of Pro Tools HD into broadcast and post-production environments, and anywhere in which MADI-equipped devices are in use. HD MADI supports Pro Tools HD's 24-bit, 192 kHz audio quality. The interface allows you to send and receive up to 64 audio streams between Pro Tools HD and MADI devices, from a distance of up to 1.24 miles (2 km).
There's no need to match sample rates when using the HD MADI, because it has built-in sample-rate conversion (SRC). Its dedicated BNC Wordclock and XLR AES/EBU connections allow you to sync to an external clock when the SRC is being used on output. HR MADI's versatile clock support includes Internal, Loop Sync, Word Clock, AES/EBU, and MADI, making synchronization easy.
HD MADI's I/O features two sets of MADI ins and outs on optical connectors, two sets of MADI coaxial in and out on BNC connectors, two primary DigiLink ports, a single AES/EBU port on a single female XLR. There are also 2 SRC Wordclock In ports, and Wordclock in and out, all on BNC connectors.
Send/Receive Up to 64 Audio Streams 24-bit, 192 kHz Sample Rate Support 2 MADI Inputs and 2 MADI Outputs Compact 1RU Size SRC on All I/O Channels Sync to External Time Clock Completely Integrates with Pro Tools HD

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this work to allow a Canon TTL flash work on a Sony RX10 IV?
A: This adapter would not be compatible with a the Sony RX10 IV. While a Canon flash could be mounted directly to this camera, it would only be able to function manually. There is no adapter available that would allow the Canon TTL to work with Sony TTL.
Q: 2. I have a Sony a6300 and need to trigger two Alien Bees B800 strobes. Will this adapter allow me to do this?
A: It will help you trigger the Alien Bees, you would then need the PC cord that will connect from the Shoe Adapter to the sync input of the strobes which will take a 3.5mm (1/8 ) connection.
Q: 3. The description is confusing. It says Mount the latest model flashes on the hot shoes of older Sony/Minolta cameras... . This sounds like it's meant to be used on older cameras to mount newer (multi-interface) flash units. I thought this was for using an older (iISO) flash on newer camera bodies that have a multi-interface hotshoe?
A: The description is correct. This Vello HSA-CSASM Sony/Minolta to Sony Multi-Interface Shoe Adapter will allow the use of new Multi-Interface Sony flashes onto old Sony/Minolta cameras. The top of the adapter has a multi-interface shoe while the bottom has an old Sony/Minolta foot.
Q: 4. Can I use this to mount a modern sony flash on an antique Hasselblad hotshoe? I mean, to physically fix it, and not burn or short circuit something. I intend to trigger it with the sync chord, and I dont care about TTL.
A: No, the Vello HSA-CSASM Sony/Minolta to Sony Multi-Interface Shoe Adapter will not fit on a Hasselblad hotshoe. Get the Vello Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Socket for Sony Multi-Interface Shoe. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/2AOISc7.
Q: 5. Will this adapter work on a Sony Nex 7 to allow Canon 40 D Flash?
A: This Adapter allows you to use the new Sony flashes on the old Minolta hotshoe that is on the Nex 7 If you put a Canon flash on this adapter it will just fire with no TTL only manual mode on the flash
Q: 6. Can I use this item, instead of westcott's sony adapter?
A: This Vello HSA-CSMSA only allows conversion from a Sony Multi-Interface Shoe to an older Sony/Minolta shoe to use older Sony flash units. The Westcott Sony Adapter for FJ-X2m Flash Trigger allows the standard foot of the Westcott FJ80 flash to fit on a Sony Multi-Interface Shoe.
Q: 7. Can this trigger works with Ares II receiver?
A: No, the Phottix Odin II TTL Flash Trigger Transmitter for Nikon is not compatible with the Phottix Ares II receiver. It is only compatible with the Phottix Odin TTL receiver, Atlas II receiver, Strato receiver, Strato II multi receiver, Mitros+ transceivers, as well as the Phottix Indrea PPL500 studio light, and the Phottix Indra 360 TTL Studio Light.
Q: 8. what adapter can i use to use my sony flash (thats working now on my sony a7iii, ) on my nikon or canon camera?
A: There is currently no adapter for using a Sony multi interface flash on a standard Nikon flash hot shoe.
Q: 9. If I use the Phottix Odin II with my Nikon D5500 will I be able to shoot at higher shutter speeds than 1/200th of a second? The D5500 doesn't have high speed sync and I'd like to be able to shoot at higher speeds, so I was thinking of buying the Odin II's if they would overcome this limitation of the D5500.
A: High Speed Sync is not a function of the camera, but rather a function of the flash along with the radio system that controls it. If you use an Odin II transmitter with a Mitros II, Indra or Nikon flash/Odin receiver, High Speed Sync will be available.
Q: 10. HelloCan we use this adater with sony a6000 and metz BL 400 studio flash.Thank you
A: You can, as long as the flash does not exceed the trigger voltage rating of the a6000, which I believe is 6volts.
