I'm afraid I can't say how long the battery will last however I've used it off and on all day long in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum without replacing the battery. It's a great camera. I love it to bits. It has a huge number of features and controls and it takes a while to learn them all.

However, since the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD doesn't have a camera, or any direct encoding support, it is not really made to be used as a web camera, and using it as such is not something we would recommend.
