Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with the Canon 80D ?

A: Yes, works fine.

Q: 2. Would this lens be better than a non zoom 24mm pancake?

A: I have both lens and one must realize that both have a different purpose. I love the 10-18mm for its wide scope as well as the 24mm. Both can be used indoors, but for low light shots the 24mm would be better, although the 10-18mm under certain circumstances also be used. I have used both for astrophotography, with the 24mm being preferred because of the f2.8 lens. These lens compliment each other very nicely. Go for both, you will be happy that you did.

Q: 3. Is this the correct lens for the Canon Rebel?

A: Yes, this lens is fully compatible with Canon EOS Digital Rebel models, but is not compatible with the Rebel film camera models however.

Q: 4. Will this lens work with a Canon Eos R7?

A: The Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens cannot be mounted directly on the Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera. However, the lens can be mounted on the R7 with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, B&H # CAMAEFRF.

Q: 5. Is this lens weather-resistant? Could I use it in the rain with a 7D mark II?

A: I wouldn't take this lens out in a heavy rain but I have used it under several different waterfalls where there was lots of spraying water in the surrounding air. Both the camera and lens tolerated this level of moisture without any ill affects.

Q: 6. Is this lens compatible with my 7D?

A: The Canon 7D is compatible with any Canon EF or EF-S lens, and any lens made for Canon EOS cameras by other manufacturers. So, the EF-S 10-22mm lens will be fully compatible with the Canon 7D.

Q: 7. Can this lens be used for Architecture? does it have rectilinear correction?

A: This lens can be used for Architectural Photography. Just keep in mind that this is also an APS-C or cropped lens only. It will not work on Full Frame EF bodies like the 6D & 5D. It does have correction profiles to fix any distortions the lens can cause.

Q: 8. Will this lens cause any image distortion with the canon t3i?

A: At the widest focal it can distort images slightly depending on your composition and relation to the subjects position etc, but its not a drastic amount to have to worry about. It is common with wide angle lenses of this width to experience a bit of distortion.

Q: 9. I have a rebel t1i and would like a nice wide angle lens for landscape and for a trip to Europe. I'm debating whether I should get the 10-18mm or 10-22mm with no IS. The 10-18 is significantly cheaper which is a huge plus but I'm not necessarily set on that. Any suggestions or better recommendations?

A: I don't know this lens compares to the 10-18mm, but we have really enjoyed using the 10-22. We spend a lot of time outdoors, especially in the mountains, and use this lens a lot. Makes beautiful photos of mountain views, including the waterfalls!

Q: 10. is this lens compatible with the canon EOS rebel T5?

A: I would think it would be. I use it on my 70D with no issues.
