The Tiffen 5 x 6" 81C Light Balancing Filter helps to decrease the color temperature by 400K in order to warm the image slightly in order to match the color quality of illumination. When using an 81C filter, you will be able to attain 3200K balance when the prevailing light source is 3600K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.3-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 5 x 6" / 127 x 152.4mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will it trigger my YONGNUO YN600EX-RT II Wireless Flash. If not, what else should I buy?

A: No this will not trigger Yongnuo flash , you can do it on manual where the meter blinks with a flash symbol and when the flash is triggered it will read the light

Q: 2. Is this device works cordless with Odin?

A: Sorry, no. The meter had to be designed to trigger Strato II receivers because the Odin receivers cannot be power controlled by anything but Odin transmitters. The 478PX can trigger any light attached to a Strato II receiver, a Mitros+ set for Strato II receive and Indra light set for Strato II receive. You can trigger the lights with your Odin Transmitter which will work with channels 1234 and ABC groups (Strato II has D as well). The existence of this meter is due to an alliance with Phottix and there is discussion on ways to make the Odin II or perhaps the next version compatible a possibly backwards compatible with the current receivers. The alliance is just 8 months in. Bigger things to come. Should the capability happen with Phottix, the 478PX is just a firmware upgrade from being capable of controlling it. (ya hear that Phottix?)

Q: 3. Does the external mic jack supply phantom power?

A: We're afraid not, Phantom Power is something found on camcorders with XLR connections, which this camcorder does not have. However the 1/8" Mic Input does support Plug-In Power so you can use a microphone like the Rode VideoMic Go, B&H # ROVMG. https://bhpho.to/2aME5Wv

Q: 4. Can i use (B&H # PAAGVBR118) these batteries with this camera? B&H # PAAGVBR118

A: Yes, B&H# PAAGVBR118 will work on the HC-MDH3. They are compatible.

Q: 5. Which model of Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478 will trigger Paul Buff CyberSync remotes?

A: The Cyber Sync protocols have not been shared with anybody so only work with another PCB CyberSync. The PX version of the L478 triggers Phottix Strato based radio triggers. The DR-U triggers PocketWizard. The EL version of the L-478 triggers and controls Elinchrom flashes with Skyport in them.PocketWizard makes interfaces to PCB that you can use. The Plus series will trigger them. The ControlTL (Mini and Flex) will allow power control through the meter. I have some PCB AlienBees that I can trigger and power control. Pretty amazing to work with.

Q: 6. I own an iRigPre, and it’s jack-size is 3.5mm. Will I need to use the digital audio output? If so, can the iRigPre jack fit that output?

A: The iRigPre products are for use with SmartPhones. We are not aware of them being able to work with a camcorder like this.

Q: 7. What is the difference between the L-478DR and the L-478DR-U?

A: To put it simply, the U at the end of the model number means that is for the US market.

Q: 8. Does it work with Phottix Ares ll receiver?

A: No; it can only communicate with a Strato II receiver.

Q: 9. list for sony e-mount, LED light mount on E-mount, between lens and camera body?

A: Yes, the tubes go between the body and lens and the light attaches to the front of the lens.

Q: 10. Does Panasonic (or someone else) make a camera like this, but with SDI? These are GREAT for education, but need SDI.

A: There is nothing in the same price range with an SDI out option.
