The PLSWL Studio Warning Lamp from PunchLight is a small plexiglass light unit with aluminum base which has to be connected to the PunchLight GPI, PunchLight Midi, PunchLight DLi or Relay Switch Box USB (all sold separately), all of which act as a trigger. The product signals "Recording" by glowing red and "record ready/pre-roll" by glowing yellow.

A: Unfortunately it does not. This only works on one side.

A: This product requires 12V and each color will use 120mA, mean it would be 240mA to use both colors at the same time. You can use it with a GPO as well.

A: This lamp would fit most Edison base sockets which do not use a reflector around them. An example of such is the Smith-Victor 100UL Cordset and Socket with Clamp Mount B&H # SM100UL. Please see the image below for reference.

A: No, the circumference is too wide. The bulbs that work are about 2.76 inches and the LED bulb is 3.5 inches.

Q: 8. do these work with pocket wizards?

A: You can connect a Pocket Wizard transceiver to the back of the DP1000 III-V while another Pocket Wizard transceiver is placed on the camera to send the signal.

I use these lights for technical still photography, both table top studio and on site. The color balance [daylight] is perfect. The light dispersion angle is about 60 degrees so I no longer need reflectors. The fan is extremely quiet so there should be no issues using them for video. I previously was using 200 watt incandescent lights and would go through 1/2 dozen bulbs a month. The LEDs have paid for themselves in just a few months and I no longer burn my finger tips accidentally. When I'm shooting on site these lights are subject to very rough use as I am working around machine tools and industrial equipment. They also get exposed to lubricating oil. I have had no problems with any of the four lights that I have used for over a year now. My only issues is that they really should be sold in sets. Each light comes with a remote. The remote can operate multiple lights so I have 3 remotes that I never use in my light kit. This is the best photographic investment I have made this year. 5

I bought these bulbs to convert an inexpensive tungsten light kit to LED. I love that I don't have to worry as much about breakage. The lights are as bright as the 220 W bulbs I had for the kit. I would recommend them as incandescent replacements. 5
