A: The autofocus won't work, but you can mount the lens with an adapter. You will only be able to shoot wide open all the time but I guess that is the point.

A: Not that I know of. Smartphone app works. You can use a wired connection to fire the shutter only. Those are all I have found.

Q: 7. Can the G85 be used as a webcam via usb or hdmi?

A: Unfortunately no, photography cameras do not stream video like a webcam via USB or HDMI. You could view/transfer photos via USB, or view them on a TV via HDMI, but it would not work via Skype, for example. There may be software workaround that could make it happen, but the cameras themselves are not intended to work that way.
