Q: 1. I am trying to decide what scanner would be best for me and this one seems to have everything I need. I will be scanning 35mm negs and slides, but the bulk of what I want to scan are glass plate negatives. the vast majority of them are in the 4x6 range. Is the transparency window on this scanner large enough to handle these?

A: Unfortunately, the transparency window would not be large enough for this. You could go with the Epson Perfection V750-M Pro Scanner (B&H # EPPV750M), though.

Q: 2. Is this scanner compatible with windows 8

A: Yes. The Epson V600 will work with Windows 8. Here are the compatible operating systems:Windows:Windows XP, XP Professional x64 Edition, Vista, 7, and 8USB 2.01024 x 768 resolution display with 24-bit colorMacintosh:Mac OS X 10.5.x, 10.6.x, 10.7.x, 10.8.xUSB port1024 x 768 resolution display with millions of colors

Q: 3. Hi, I am just wondering What are the power requirements? Can I use it in Australia, if I change the power cord to the Australian standard - I presume that the onboard power transformer is built for a range of voltages?

A: This would have a US plug, but would have an AC Input Power of 100 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz

Q: 4. Will the scanner work with Windows 10 and 11?

A: The minimum system requirements for the Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner are shown below: Windows 8, 8.1 Windows 7 Windows Vista Windows XP Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Mac OS X 10.6.x, 10.7.x, 10.8.x, 10.10.x An optical drive is required for some third-party applications.

Q: 5. Will this work with the upcoming Mac OS (64 bit)?

A: Yes, they released an update that allows it to work with Mac OS (64 bit).

Q: 6. Can you manually change the printer to print wider images, like 6x12?

A: Not sure..used 6x8 once..

Q: 7. It is being advertised that this printer (DS620A) can print 6*20 prints and I am guessing this would be accessible via software. Does the software come with the printer?

A: yes the feature is in the software that comes with the printer.

Q: 8. what is the biggest print size I can get out of this scanner with a 35mm film neg?

A: I am going to assume you are concerned with the quality of the image as you try to make it larger. The scanner will allow you to scan the film negative at its original size (35mm). The quality of the image when it is processed and enlarged with photo editing software will be dependent on the quality of the original negative and the resolution that you use to scan the negative. The scanner's (Epson Scan) software allows you select very high resolutions to help with this issue. If you are not familiar with image resolution and how to process images for good print quality, I suggest you study some resources on the topic to gain a better understanding of how this works. This scanner is a good quality desktop scanner and is capable of producing very good scans. Certainly good enough for most photo reproduction projects. The maximum size of the image is really just limited by the photo printer, not the scanner.

Q: 9. Is the Epson V600 compatible with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7?

A: If you go to the Support webpage for the Epson Perfection V600 Photo on Epson's website and you click the [Downloads] tab, under the Operating System drop-down menu, you have the option to download the drivers for macOS 10.15.x Catalina as well as macOS 11 Big Sur.

Q: 10. Does it work on Mac OS 10.7?

A: The Epson Perfection V600 is compatible with OSX 10.7. There are drivers available for download from Epson.
