A: I have the Acra-Swiss D4 head and use it with the TA-3 leveling base but I have it attached via a RRS B2 AS II lever release clamp and mounting plate. You should still be able to mount it to the leveling base without such a set up. I find it much easier to switch out heads and travel with this arrangement however.

A: Yes! There are two was to achieve your goal.1. Loosen one of the tear drop knobs to tip the head to the side 90 degrees. You will may have to reposition the tripod if you are shooting both horizontally and vertically.2. Use an L- plate on your camera then easily and quickly use the quick release to switch from horizontal to vertical in seconds without having to reposition the tripod.

A: The assumption is "Yes" based on the fact that the 907X features the X mount bayonet. However we have not been able to adequately test this configuration.

A: I think so. This is a great head. I have Arca and Gitzo ball-heads, Bogen and Majestic gear heads and others, and this is the most precise and well made head I have ever used. The negatives are stiff controls, range and ergonomics.
