The Sea & Sea Sea Arm 8 Compact Digital Set is a modular system for connecting an external strobe to an underwater housing for a DSLR camera. The SA8 Compact Digital Set starts with the SA8 Camera Tray + Grip, an L-shaped component that connects (via a standard 1/4"-20 screw) to most compact camera housings on the market.

The set also includes an SA8 Fixed Ball Base, a 5.7"-long SA8 Double Ball Arm - Small, and an SA8 Strobe Head - Small. This last piece is used to mount a YS series strobe from Sea & Sea. Connecting components are two SA8 Ball Clamps, which can be tightened and loosened to enable adjustment of the arm's positioning.

Meticulously machined from a solid aluminum block, the SA8 system is highly rigid and at the same time extremely lightweight at only 1.2 lb.

Q: 7. I am using this w/ Panasonic AG-AC130AP. The problem: uncommanded zoom. That is, when I zoom in from zero to 50, then stop, the controller continues to zoom in until 99 or I keep slight zoom out pressure on the rocker. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the fix?

A: Hey Andy, et al.... I found a fix that restores the rocker to proper function and it takes all of three minutes. This is a known issue to Vari-Zoom and they have posted a video on YouTube. Search for Instructional VZ-ROCK Control How to Recalibrate. You will need a 2mm (or 5/64 ) hex wrench and a small flat head screw driver. Do it and be rewarded by more aggravating zoom creep!

A: I use it on my crane.I have two extension Cables 9 feet each and i connect them together.The cable i bought it from electronic store here in CYPRUS and is 3.5mm stereo jack male to male.I bought two adaptors female to female two connect the two Cables together and then to the controler.Untill now everything work perfect on my crane and my JVC CAMERA.This controler is not a LANC CONTROLER is only for JVC CAMERAS.Sincerely CHRYSOS.
