Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If this does not work for canon 6D, what ultra wide angle lens would you recommend?

A: EF-S lenses DO NOT WORK in full frame camera bodies like the 6D.As a wide angle I will recommend the Canon 16-35mm either f4 or f2.8.Also the Canon 8-15mm zoom is very interesting. For cheap fish-eye the Rokinon 8mm will work.

Q: 2. How well does this lens perform for the Canon 90D and what image stabilizer adapter pieces would you recommend?

A: This lens works very well on the 90D. Regarding a stabilizer, you can get a motorized gimbal, like a Ronin or Zhiyun Crane or hand held rig or shoulder rig. Q: 3. Does this lense work well for group shots? I need it for family grouping.

A: Not sure as this was a gift for someone. Sorry

Q: 4. Would this work on a Canon C300 Mark II?

A: Yes. The C300 mkII says it accepts EF and EF-S.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with a camera from Spain? I mean, are lenses universal?

A: This MUST be mounted on a Canon 1.6x crop cameras. Will not work on full frame or 1.3x crop (1D Series). Great for Rebels xxxD and 20D - 70D bodies. Lens are not universal.

Q: 6. Is this Lens Rectilinear ?

A: Yes the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens is rectilinear.

Q: 7. Is this lens compatible with my 7D?

A: The Canon 7D is compatible with any Canon EF or EF-S lens, and any lens made for Canon EOS cameras by other manufacturers. So, the EF-S 10-22mm lens will be fully compatible with the Canon 7D.

Q: 8. How does this lens compare to the Canon 10-22mm lens?I plan to use the lens with a Canon 2Ti and taking photographs, indoors, of still objects in historic sites, while traveling in Europe and the Far East.

A: The Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 will provide a slightly faster aperture speed, which is useful for taking photographs indoors. Your optimal lens choice for shooting indoors will be a lens with a fast aperture; between these two, the 10-22mm will be the better choice, along with adjustments in your ISO: http://bhpho.to/1fgGZne

Q: 9. Would this lens be good to shoot the northern lights with, I know i should have like a f2.8 or faster but i dont want to drop the money on it? or would a macro tube be ok? lol. or just buy a 24mm canon pancake.

A: Night/Star photography really needs to be done with a faster lens. There are some manual lenses from Rokinon and Samyang that are wide and fast that work very well for night photography. They are not expensive.

Q: 10. Can this lens be used for Architecture? does it have rectilinear correction?

A: This lens can be used for Architectural Photography. Just keep in mind that this is also an APS-C or cropped lens only. It will not work on Full Frame EF bodies like the 6D & 5D. It does have correction profiles to fix any distortions the lens can cause.
