Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens compatible with my 7D?

A: The Canon 7D is compatible with any Canon EF or EF-S lens, and any lens made for Canon EOS cameras by other manufacturers. So, the EF-S 10-22mm lens will be fully compatible with the Canon 7D.

Q: 2. Would this work on a Canon C300 Mark II?

A: Yes. The C300 mkII says it accepts EF and EF-S.

Q: 3. weather sealed?

A: Not that I'm aware of.

Q: 4. Does this lense work well for group shots? I need it for family grouping.

A: Not sure as this was a gift for someone. Sorry

Q: 5. I have a rebel t1i and would like a nice wide angle lens for landscape and for a trip to Europe. I'm debating whether I should get the 10-18mm or 10-22mm with no IS. The 10-18 is significantly cheaper which is a huge plus but I'm not necessarily set on that. Any suggestions or better recommendations?

A: IS is less important with ultra wide lenses and landscape photography often involves a tripod. Although I like this lens for the price, I cannot honestly say that I am amazed with the results. I say this because some lenses have a nice, contrasty pop to them. The adage you get what you pay for is often true with photo gear. Often times when I went cheap I have regretted it. Again, this seems to be a fine lens with a not so great build quality. I used to have the Sigma equivalent (10-20) with a Nikon camera and the images were a good stretch better, but the lens was twice the price and twice the build quality. No IS though. Bottom line, I think it is a good, all around cheap lens. If you are serious I would try renting different lenses form Lensrentals or Borrowlenses and compare them before buying.

Q: 6. Is this len compactable with canon 600d

A: yes

Q: 7. How does this lens compare to the Canon 10-22mm lens?I plan to use the lens with a Canon 2Ti and taking photographs, indoors, of still objects in historic sites, while traveling in Europe and the Far East.

A: The Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 will provide a slightly faster aperture speed, which is useful for taking photographs indoors. Your optimal lens choice for shooting indoors will be a lens with a fast aperture; between these two, the 10-22mm will be the better choice, along with adjustments in your ISO: http://bhpho.to/1fgGZne

Q: 8. can it hold a lee system with the plastic mount?

A: Yes. A Lee filter system can be used with this lens. It will require a 67 mm adapter.

Q: 9. Will this work on Rebel t4i?

A: Yes

Q: 10. I have a 50d and 70d camera, will this be campatible?

A: The Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens is compatible with both the 50D and 70D, yes.
