Q: 1. Is this compatible with the Canon EVF?

A: If you are talking about the EVF-DC1 I do not believe it fits. I think the recess is a bit deeper and a slightly different shape. The EG diopter has a clip back and slides over the permanent eyepiece on the 5D Mark II and III SLRs. I do wish that Canon would boost the adjustable diopters to +3. I hope this helps.

Q: 2. My Opthamologist was not able to help me figure out what diopter to get, any help on how to figure it out is appreciated?

A: This diopter magnifies 2x.These are like using 2x magnifier readers while looking through the viewfinder, but without the actual glasses on. Hope that helps some.

A: This lens is for affordable fun and will make acceptable images with your Nikon particularly if you apply good technique. You know, use a tripod, stop down the lens to f/11 or f/16, put the mirror up and use a remote. Have fun!

A: No unfortunately, this will not fit on a 5D MK II camera. I was not able to find any similar options for that model.

A: The Dioptric Adjustment Lens EG (+2) would not be compatible with the Canon 70D. For the 70D, you would need the Canon +2 Diopter E for Most EOS Cameras (B&H # CADP2E).
