The Remote Audio Timecode Extension Cable for CABETASD552 - 75' is an extension cable specifically for the CABETASD552, which itself is a breakaway cable for the Sound Devices 552 mixer that sends a timecode signal to the mixer and also sends a return audio signal.

On that breakaway cable, the timecode run is shielded to maintain a clean audio path on the return. This means that standard breakaway extensions are not compatible with CATBETASD552, and therefore this Timecode Extension Cable for CABETASD552 is required to extend the timecode signal run. This extension cable extends the shielded timecode signal from the CATBETASD552 breakaway cable to the mixer, and it will not interchange with a standard beta extension.

A: The Atomos UltraSync ONE RF Timecode Sync can support your needs by going to the Sync O/P Mode section in the menu. If you choose to use the SYNC port as an LTC output, you can also amend the output level in Set Sync O/P Level.

Q: 5. Will this work with a canon 80d ? Using the the audio 3.5mm and LTC of course. I was a bit confused and the for atom and ninja. Than you

Q: 10. I purchased the ultrasync one as well as the atomx sync for my ninja. But if I want a smaller rig without the ninja, I am wondering if it's possible to use a y-splitter cable to attach a small mic to my dslr and then plug the mic and the ultrasync into the dslr via the splitter cable and get timecode on one audio channel and external mic audio on the other channel?

A: A y-splitter wouldn't work as there would be no way to separate the signals.
