This 5-pack of FUJIFILM Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III from B&H is a daylight-balanced color transparency film that exhibits a super-fine grain structure with vivid and naturally appearing colors and rich tonal rendition. It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when processed in E-6, CR-56, or C6R processes and can effectively be pulled one half stop or pushed two stops with Minimal variations in color balance and gradation. Excellent reciprocity characteristics also make this film highly suitable for use during long exposures and ensures consistent film speeds and coloring across multiple and extended exposures. Medium overall contrast and saturation make this film ideal for use in a wide range of photographic applications and is especially well-suited for use in product, landscape, nature, portraiture, and fashion photography.

This item contains five rolls of 120 format roll film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does slide film have to be mounted or can you scan as an unmounted strip?

A: Yes it will take mounted or un-mounted slides and negatives

Q: 2. Can I silkscreen translucent inks onto this substrate?

A: This is designed for inkjet printing. You would need to test it to see how it works with silkscreen translucent inks.

Q: 3. Can it scan B&W slides?

A: Yes, the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE can scan B&W slides.

Q: 4. Do you have to use Silverfast to do scanning or can you use something like Photoshop Elements or Photoshop (full)?

A: You can also purchase VueScan. However, SilverFast doesn't have to be difficult to use. The automatic image processing really works well and if you follow a few basic steps, it's pretty easy to use. The editing power is also there if you want to do serious editing. Q: 5. I just bought this scanner. I can't seem to get higher than a 6 Megapixel scan from it. is it possible to go higher? I was hoping to get at least a 12Megapixel scan for larger prints.

A: Set the Res slider in the SilverFast Scan Dimensions dialog to 3600 ppi and select the Photo Quality Output (300 ppi). You should get a file that is the equivalent of about 15 Megapixel image. If not please contact Plustek Support 714-670-7713 option 1 ask for Mark.

Q: 6. I've read OpticFilm 8100 does not work on Mavericks.Does OpticFilm 8200 SE or 8200 AI work on Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)?

A: Yes it is compatible with Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks.

Q: 7. Will this work on 220 voltage ?

A: Yes Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner works with 220 voltage.

Q: 8. Can I scan stereo slides with the Plustek? The stereo slides are 35mm slide film mounted in cardboard holders. The two images are mounted on a mount measuring 1 5/8 by 4 with 1 5/8 between the slide films.

A: Don't buy it..Horrible software.

Q: 9. Presumably, when sliding old paper mounted slides into the machine, over time it is going to get dusty inside. Is there a way to open it and clean it or is that a chancy procedure (like trying to clean the dust off a sensor of an SLR camera)? What is recommended for cleaning?

A: Opening the Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Ai Film Scanner will void an warranty, One suggest was canned air. But I would be very careful as that can release Freon. Or you can try a blower brush.

Q: 10. Is this scanner working with windows 10 fall?

A: Yes, it definitely works with Windows 10. I had no problems, scanned in almost a thousand pictures and no hiccups. Great scanner!

If you want a well balanced true colors, with neutral white balance and high tolerance to reciprocity failure for long exposures, this is the best slide film available.

I do a lot of natural habitat and landscape photography. I love the sharpness and true color fidelity of Provia 100F. In some films the color is all hyped up and oversaturated. The sky and vegetation ( grass, leaves and trees ) all look with Provia 100F the way I saw them with my own eyes. Even though the price has gone up Provia 100F is still less expensive than its Kodak competition.

I shoot this film in a Rollei F and Super Ikonta - great colors and clarity. Can not beat it for projection of transparencies.

Provia 100F continues to be a top notch transparency film. It's particularly good when you want good color saturation and fine grain. Transparecy films don't gave wide latitude like print film. However, with that said, it hasn't really been a problem in my shooting situations. Most of my pictures come out nicely exposed. My 120 transparencies look astounding and scan nicely with an Epson flatbed scanner.

Great film, great colors, actually my preferred slide film, especially if developed in Tetenal e-6... Check couplet samples in various lighting conditions.

I love the quality of the processed film I get with my Provia color transparency film. The flesh tones are especially good. When my lab makes prints from my film, though, the prints are blotchy, and sometimes show so much magenta that my subjects look sunburned. Does anyone know a good lab who can produce prints to match the quality of the film?
