A: Yes, I use this bag for the MT055XPRO3 tripod and the MHXPRO-3W 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head (which is much larger than the 496RC2 ball head). This combination barely fits, so you have to position it properly as you close the zipper around the head, but it does fit. Since the 496RC2 head is more than an inch shorter and doesn't have the protruding handles of the MHXPRO-3W, your tripod/head combination would definitely fit in the MBAG75PN.

A: The cold shoes on the bracket will slide to accommodate different flashes. I've used mine with Nikon's SB900, SB800, and SB600 as well as the Yungnuo flashes. You can rotate the flashes so that they are back to back and present less of a profile and they will fit.
