Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens come with a tripod collar?

A: No, Sigma does not manufacture a tripod collar designed for use with the Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens. The following items are listed as included with the lens under the "In The Box" section under the Overview tab on our website: In the Box Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E LCF-82 III 82mm Lens Cap Rear Cap LCR II for Sony E Mount Lenses LH880-03 Lens Hood Lens Case Limited 1-Year North and South America Warranty Limited 3-Year U.S.A. Q: 2. Can this be used on my SONY 6000?

A: Sony e mount compatible. Works on my a6300 as a 105mm cuz of the crop sensor.

Q: 3. Will this lens be released for the Nikon Z-mount? I certainly hope so as there's no 1st-party equivalent.

A: Sigma has not announced plans for a Nikon Z-mount 14mm f/1.4 lens yet; the Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens is currently available in E-mount or L-mount only.

Q: 4. Does this lens use fly by wire or manual gears for focusing? I do both photo and video and I need autofocus for photo but fly by wire manual focusing for video is awful.

A: No. This lens offers HSM AF and the manual focus ring is engaged by gears.

Q: 5. Does this lens compatible with Nikon D 800 E full frame camera?

A: Yes, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F, BH #SI2814DGN is compatible with the Nikon D800E Digital SLR Camera.

Q: 6. Sigma 30mm art or Nikon 50mm better?

A: Comparing a 30mm to a 50mm lens is a bit like comparing apples to oranges; 30mm is a wide-angle focal length, while 50mm is considered a "normal" focal length, so they are usually used for different purposes. The Sigma 30mm, however, is an APS-C lens, only compatible with crop-sensor cameras, while both the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.8 are compatible with full-frame cameras and crop-sensor cameras. For this reason, the Nikon lenses are better optically, as well--full-frame lenses generally are better than crop-sensor lenses.

Q: 7. Have the issues with this lens and the 5D4 been fixed?

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. We are not aware of any particular issues with any Canon camera bodies.

Q: 8. Does this fit with Canon EOS rebel T6I?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the T6i. Since the T6i has a crop factor of 1.6, the effective angle of view will be similar to 135mm.

Q: 9. Will canon mount lenses be released as well?

A: Currently Sigma does not offer any lenses for the Canon RF mirrorless cameras. They do however make this 14mm f1.8 which can be mounting on a Canon DSLR (EF mount) camera or adapted to a Canon mirrorless RF mount camera: https://bhpho.to/3K3Vcqp

Q: 10. Is the focus linear for pulling focus in manual mode?

A: No, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens (Sony E) is fly by wire and not good for smooth focus pulling. Best is to use a manual focus lens for that.
