Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do you use this with a Nikon D500?

A: Unfortunately, this lens is not compatible with a D500. This lens is specifically for Nikon Z Mirrorless cameras. However, Tamron does make a 150-600mm lens for your D500. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1277357-REG/tamron_sp_150_600mm_f_5_6_3_di.html

Q: 2. Is there a Tamron 1.4 teleconverter that can be used on the Fujifilm X cameras with this lens?

A: No, Tamron does not make a teleconverter with Fujifilm X mount.

Q: 3. Will this lens work on fs5? Is it parfocal?

A: This is an APS-C format E-mount lens meant for Sony cameras, and should mount without issue on an FS5. Based on the FS5 sensor size (23.6 x 13.3mm), it should also more than adequately cover the Super35 sensor. Unfortunately, it is not parfocal.

Q: 4. Will I be able to put my FE 1.4x on the back of this Tamron 150-500?

A: You would be able to attach this lens to the Sony 1.4x teleconverter, but the lens is not compatible--it won't be able to autofocus.

Q: 5. Is it compatible with the sony aspc lens electronica ?

A: The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens for Sony E is compatible with Sony cameras that have an APS-C size image sensor, like the a6700 and ZV-E10.

Q: 6. How "fast" is the af ? BIF will it lock on and track? I am shooting with an A6600.

A: The Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VXD Lens for Sony E is very quick to lock focus and does a great job tracking birds in flight. This is fully compatible with the Sony a6600 Mirrorless Camera and will perform well on that camera.

Q: 7. Which would be a better lens for a combination of Landscape, Bird & Wildlife Photography optically & sharpness between Tamron 150-500 Di III VXD vs Sigma 150-600 DG DN OS Sports Lens ?

A: They are both very sharp. In image quality the only difference I have seen is the bokeh of the Tamron is slightly smoother and more pleasing. The bokeh of the Sigma looks more busy. Tamron is also smaller and lighter, but only goes to 500mm. I would recommend the Tamron for the smoother bokeh and lighter lens.

Q: 8. how long is the lens fully zoomed out?

A: When zoomed, the Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VXD Lens for Sony E would be approximately 11.14 inches (283mm) in length. With the lens hood, it should be approximately 13.31 inches (338 mm) in length.

Q: 9. will this lens perform auto focus continuously for doing video with sony zv-E10 camera ?

A: Yes, the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens for Sony E maintains tracking focus and subject detection while shooting video mode in the Sony ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 10. How many fps will this get with the Sony A1?

A: As of now, according to Sony, third party lenses will be limited to 15 fps.
