The mic works well, cuts wind noise well. BUT don't forget to turn it on with the little white switch or you will have no audio. To bad when you plug the cable in, it can't turn it on without the switch. But very happy with it anyhow.

We have a relatively small budget, so this mic was perfect for what we needed and for an affordable price. We used it at a graduation ceremony and the audio quality was great! Cons are that it was bigger than expected, and does not come with the 9 volt battery required for it to work, but these are minor. Definitely recommend this mic.

When reviewing different mics in this price range, we liked this one, but had some concerns about the indoor interview quality. But so far that's been perfect! The controls are easy to work with, it sets up easily and the sound quality has been great. We recently recorded a conference and we've had to do very little post editing compared to others in this category. The only complaint is the cable length when connecting to our camcorder. But that's more about where the input is located on our camcorder than about the mic itself. In my opinion, it's the best option for the price. And I'm so glad we purchased from an authorized dealer.

I bought this kit for my son who is a budding film-maker. It works beautifully with a Canon 70D. I ordered on line and the parcels (2) arrived in Australia within a week. Parcels were well packaged and protected. I would have liked to see some written instructions included, though we were able to source solutions on line. Very impressed with the service and quality of the product. Thank you.

Just picked this up form my Middle School film class. Awesome quality for a small price. Hopefully this one doesn't go swimming like our last mic.

I picked one of the Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro mics up in 2013. It was a stellar mic and eliminated all wind noise in every single shot I used it for from 2013 to 2021, almost all outdoors, in all weather from Kansas to Maine. The original mic didn't fail, however the cable to connect it to the camera did. But after 8 years of heavy use, I cannot complain after all I put that mic through. I replaced it with a new Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote, and I love it as much as the old one. The mic uses the preamps built into your camera, or recorder, as any external mic will, so if you have a camera or recorder with lackluster preamps, you'll hear it in your audio. I shoot with a Lumix S5, paired with my Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro, the match is great. The Lumix preamps and audio limiters keep things clear, crisp, and never blown out, while the Rode keeps the audio from getting noisy or shallow sounding, and it keeps the wind from becoming too much or harsh. I do find the Lumix paired with the Rode picks up wind noise, however it has a soft sound to it, making it accent the audio, immersing you in the weather conditions without ruining the audio. On my Nikon the mic totally removed wind noise, however the Nikons preamps create a low hum, unless the audio is kept very low. All in all a stellar mic to pair with a camera or recorder, I'll be picking another up to pair with my b cam.
