The Vinten Vector 750i Pan and Tilt Head with VRI Box is a pantographic head that ensures stable and accurate placement of virtual graphics into the live environment. The pan and tilt head supports semi automatic setup, slide plate tracking, and kinematic compensation, and has a load bearing capacity up to 165.3 lb (75 kg).

Incorporating the features of Vector 750, the Vector 750i Pan and Tilt Head can be used with large camera combinations involving virtual reality and in applications such as outside broadcast and studio environments.

Positional data from head encoders can be processed by the Virtual Reality Interface Box that allows you to use the 750i Pan and Tilt Head in virtual reality applications. The box offers direct interfacing to lenses with encoder outputs (or bolt on lens encoders), and enables single data streaming to graphics rendering system. It comes with a head interface cable, GUI, and mounting brackets.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this tripod works with the 322RC2 head?

A: Yes this would work with the 332RC2 head perfectly fine since it is a standard 3/8" thread.

Q: 2. can I use it for stop motion? i.e. set a small steps and move between them? or maybe make a small steps by start/stop?

A: It is possible, but will be hard as it is difficult to move in very precise small increments consistently.

Q: 3. Is there anyway to mount the 1/4 thread to a 3/8 threaded head? I have a Manfrotto Giant stand that has a 3/8 thread and I want to attach it directly to the tripod without using a quick release.

A: Yes, I bought an adaptor that looks like a flat washer on the bottom. It holds this unit along with a blackmagic studio camera and lens. No issue so far.

Q: 4. I can’t find the serial number for my camranger. Is there a way to bypass that in the app and get it to connect? I looked inside the battery plate and it is not there. Thank you!

A: Please contact Camranger for troubleshooting issues; Website http://www.camranger.com Email support@camranger.com

Q: 5. What is the accuracy of this piece? My application would involve commanding it to a specific location so I would like to know how accurately it can converge to a set of position angles.

A: The CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head can be very accurate and converge to a set of positive angles. The issue is, that this PT Hub has no memory, so it is difficult to position it exactly the same way each time if it is moved.

Q: 6. I cannot find a sample of how you use this to create panoramas. Can someone please explain the process? How do you program the CR? Where do you program amount of shots? Angles? Rotation speed? etc. Thanks!

A: GUILLERMO, happy to help! You also need the CamRanger wifi hotspot, and an iPad or iPhone or laptop with the free CamRanger software app. Their software is easy to use. It uses the live view function on your camera. After turning on the the CamRanger wifi hot spot, you connect to the CamRanger software to the camera via wifi with a range of about 300 feet. Everything on the camera is controlled by the software app, including focus, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, bracketing of shots . Software also controls pan and tilt head, rotation, number of shots, and rotation speed. Besides panoramas, it is also great for time lapse, macro photography, and bird photography. Only camera control that is missing is zoom... You can focus in and out with great precision, and even focus bracket your shots, all with their software. Be sure you have a good quality tripod that is rock steady. You will also need extra batteries for the CamRanger wifi hotspot , for your camera, and for the pan-tilt head. Another CamRanger app called CamRanger SHARE allows other people to view what you are seeing through the camera live view and review the photos as you take them. They only watch and review, but cannot change anything.

Q: 7. Will this fit on a gorillapod focus tripod?

A: This head has a fixed pan drag, so any time you panned you would probably end up twisting the head off when panning right to left; or simply twisting the legs of the Gorillapod and ruining your shot.

Q: 8. I have a 4 pound lens on my 2 pound camera. I want a longer plate to shift the load back on my Genie 2. What is a recommended replacement plate?

A: You could attach a cheeseplate in between this plate and the camera to offset the balance. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=cheeseplate&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma

Q: 9. If I have a power zoom lens, can I control the zoom function with the controller to the iFootage Motion X2? I see it has what appears to be scroll wheels on the top- would love to be able to pan/tilt and control zoom on a Sony A7R3 with power zoom lens. Thanks.

A: We are not aware of the Motion X2 having any zoom capabilities as well.

Q: 10. Does this support Visca over IP or only serial ?

A: The Datavideo PTR-10 MK II Robotic Pan Tilta Head (DVIP) will support "pan and tilt operations via VISCA, DVIP, RS-422, or an included IR remote control", "(Control Unit via IP, IR Remote, or VISCA)".
