Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used with a Fuji GFX50s camera?

A: Sorry, the FUJIFILM GFX 50S is not on the Giga Pan camera compatibility list at this time.

Q: 2. How readable is the LCD display in bright sunlight? Also, is the display backlit for low-light situations?

A: The screen is pretty good to read in sunlight. And it does light up on the GigaPan EPIC Pro Robotic Camera Mount .

Q: 3. Can the Gigapan Pro V be used in portrait mode with a Nikon Z6 camera and Nikon Z 70-200mm S series lens?

A: No, the Z6 with the Nikon Z 70-200 is not compatible in vertical on the GigaPan EPIC Pro V Robotic Camera Mount.

Q: 4. Can this be used for tracking?

A: There is no information available suggesting that this device can do tracking of an object.

Q: 5. I want to use the EpicPro V to do multiple stitched HDR landscape panoramas, using a Canon T7i. Is it capable of doing HDR's? Are extra batteries available?

A: Yes you can do that with the EpicPro, you would just have to set your Canon to bracket shooting so that every shot it takes will bracket to the designated amount of stops.

Q: 6. How long does it take to make a 360 pano ?

A: The time will very greatly depending on the lens coverage and settings used. In the settings one sets the lens coverage, the amount of overlap you want, Exposure times, and the time between shots. It can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on the settings chosen.

Q: 7. Can the GigaPan EPIC Pro V Robotic Camera Mount be used with a Canon 5dmk11 or Canon 7d? thank you

A: Yes this will be able to function with both.

Q: 8. How do you determine the nodal point setting?

A: To determine your camera's nodal point with the GigaPan EPIC Pro Robotic Camera Mount, first mount your camera on the EPIC. You then select a scene with one object in the foreground, and another in the distant background, being obscured by the the foreground object. Ideally, your foreground object is a minimum of ten feet from your camera setup. You then set your camera to its full zoom level, and position the camera so the foreground object is at the left edge of your screen with the background object obscured behind it. You will then want to rotate the EPIC so the foreground object is now on the right edge of your screen/viewfinder. Loosen the platform screw and move the platform forward or backward until you can no longer see the background object. Once the background object is always hidden regardless of the direction your camera is facing, your nodal point has been found.

Q: 9. Can the batteries be recharged with 220 volts and 50 Hertz electricity (the standard in Europe) supplies?

A: yes it comes with a switching power supply.

Q: 10. Can you shoot in raw? What file format is the final stitched pano? (e.g. tiff?)

A: Yes, you can shoot in RAW and finalize the image in TIFF.
