Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I display (4) the 1080P SDI inputs on 4 separate displays (with a separate graphics card) or on one 4K monitor for a real-time full size preview?

A: According to Matrox, Please note that the VS4Recorder Pro offers high-quality video monitoring of all inputs (ie: 4 quadrants). You can use quad-view mode to preview all four inputs simultaneously or switch to single-view mode to view each quadrant (full screen) and cycle through each of your inputs if you choose to. You cannot, however, display your video sources on 4 separate monitors.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Bolt VB-22? I need a reflector like this for the Bolt flash

A: The Bolt VB-22 and the Quantum Trio share the same mount. This reflector is to for Trio and therefore it is not compatible with the VB-22. Bolt sells a B&H# BOVBUMK. It may be what you are looking for.

Q: 3. Would this be cross compatible with a Godox 200pro flash head with a bare bulb attachment? Thank you.

A: Yes with with a bare bulb it will work very well

Q: 4. Can the Quantum QF-82 be used on-camera using the Trio/Trio Basic?

A: I would not recommend using the Quantum Instruments Beauty Dish on the Quantum TRIO flash mounted onto your camera. Depending on your camera and lens combination, the Quantum Instruments Beauty Dish may be too large and bump against the lens. It would definitely block the Autofocus Assist Light and the Auto Sensor on the front of the unit, and is not recommended if you are using either of these for your images. You may try it on your equipment to see if it works with your gear combination, but you may get better usage from usage on a light stand.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Brilia BB-110N?

A: Yes it does work with any bare bulb flash

Q: 6. Does it work with the Godox AD200? are any other adapters required?

A: Yes, it works with the AD200, I have this same unit and it works great. You use it with the bulb head on the AD200.

Q: 7. Can anyone recommend a carrying case for this item?

A: There are not perfect sized options, but this bag could be used for it. BH #BRCCBD

Q: 8. Does the mic input provide phantom power? if so, what?

A: The Native Instruments TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 MK3 does not provide phantom power with the mic input.

Q: 9. What spec of host PC is required to be able to capture x4 streams of 1080p 25 video?CPU type/speed/number, RAM, GPU, Win OS etc?

A: This software requires first that you have the Matrox VS4 Quad HD Capture Card. From there Matrox recommends a Workstation Caliber PC that uses a 64 bit version of windows. I would recommend a computer like the HP Z230 F1M26UT Tower Workstation. It has a 3.6 Ghz Quad Core i7, 16gb of ram, a 256gb SSD, 4gb graphics card, Windows 7 Pro + Windows 8.1 Pro License and USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2 ports. It would work very well with the VS4 Recorder Pro for your application.

Q: 10. Would it fit Bolt VB-22?

A: Yes, it would.
