The Tiffen 62mm Digital HT Neutral Density Filter Kit is a collection of three filters that contain the strength of a titanium coating combined with high-end optical Water White glass. They are designed for the outdoor shooter and represent a state of-the-art advancement in filter design. The low profile design is complemented by a titanium colored filter ring that matches many of today's modern digital cameras.

Using their patented ColorCore technology, these filters takes it to the next level by adding a very high scratch-resistant surface. There is no need to worry about cleaning this filter since the coating protects the surface, thereby maintaining the high-end optical quality of the glass.

The Titanium coating consistently reflects less than 1% of the imaging light hitting the front surface of the filter while transmitting nearly 99% (i.e. High-Transmission).

Neutral Density filters have several uses and offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results. ND filters appear gray and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance. Neutral Density filters permit you to control your depth of field by permitting you to use wider apertures. They also allow you to create some stunning "burred" images such as rippling streams, moving traffic or birds in flight.

The graduated filter in this kit offers a different photographic possibility. Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed. These filters enables cloud detail to be kept correctly exposed in the picture.

Determining which graduated neutral density filter yields ideal results for any given lighting situation takes knowledge, experience and a collection of such filters. Choose the filter strength which adjusts the lighting to stay within the exposure latitude (greatest difference between bright/dark values) which still shows details in both of the digital or film medium in use.

Speaking generally, for graduated ND filters, the 2-stop value (ND 0.6 - the filter's clear portion allows 4x more light to pass vs. the darkest portion) effectively compensates average bright sky-to-foreground situations, and the soft transition is applicable more often to a scene than the hard transition.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the lens if fix ? or detachable ?

A: The lens is fixed and not removable.

Q: 2. Does fz2500 record in 4k continuously or it has the 30 minutes record time? And would the sdxc class 10 u3 work with 4k recording?

A: there is no record limit on the FZ2500

Q: 3. Can this do stop motion like the fz300

A: Interesting. I can tell you like Lumix. We do too. We upgraded from the FZ200 and before that ZS20 and several others. The wide angle lens is wonderful. We are not professionals but like Lumix as they are relative easy to use from one to another. We found the FZ2500 does far more than any other Lumix. The one we purchased ran out of battery life within 30 min. The same thing happened when we put in a new battery. We sent it in for repair to the manufacturer and it was replaced within a week. We have not had a chance to see if the new one solves this problem and I kinda think it will. For your answer your question call the people at B&H. I found them to be professional and will gladly answer your questions.

Q: 4. Anyone else having tremendous trouble opening the cover to the USB port? Is there a trick to it that I’m missing? The connection ports cover on my original GR(I) flips open effortlessly. This one is practically unopenable.

A: Yes these are a bit tougher to open but does help to ensure that water and weather don't effect the camera. The USB port tends to be where liquid can cause shorts or issues, so this helps to prevent accidentally opening it when in inclement weather.

Q: 5. Can you replace drained battery in the field or do you have to stop and recharge the one in the camera? I don't see back up batteries in the accessories.

A: This is a link for Panasonic and third-party batteries for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 camera, https://bhpho.to/3wLrWfn And this is a link for a few battery chargers, https://bhpho.to/3d1CLlr

Q: 6. what kind of zoom range ?

A: The lens is 24-480mm.Optical Zoom: 20xDigital: 4xIntelligent Zoom: 40x

Q: 7. What is the physical depth with the lens extended?

A: If you measure from the front of the extended lens to the rear of the viewfinder it is approximately 7 1/4 .

Q: 8. Is it true that the FZ2500 will not work in Lightroom?

A: I dont know...I use photoshop.

Q: 9. Does body has metal frame like FZ-2500?

A: The body is a combination of metal and poly carbonate.

Q: 10. Anyone know when the 2.8 stops... and drops... (I'd love to see it through 85mm) and barrel markings for focal distance? Tripod mount location vs battery door for QR plates?

A: the 2.8 drops off at the 25mm mark and continues to drop until the 270mm mark where it stays at 4.5the tripod plate is located in the center and should not block the battery door from being open.
