Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 with Panning System ? or is the tripod base too big ?

A: It will work, you will probably have a 1/2" extra around the base. Typically tripods without center columns have similar size discs or flat plates. If you wanted a smaller base for the head, you can look at tripods with center columns.

Q: 2. what ball head would you or anyone recommend to go with this ?

A: The Benro B3 Triple Action Ball Head, B&H # BEB3 is a suitable ball head for this tripod.

Q: 3. Does the included bag have enough room for a ball head?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. The GVM Pro SD650B Bi-Color LED Mono (650W) produces 77.3K Lux at 1m. Does this (450W) Bi-Color produce 121K Lux at 1m?

A: The SmallRig RC 450B COB Bi-Color LED Video Monolight BH #SM3975 has an output of 121,000 LUX at 1m.

Q: 5. How does the apex/spider differ between the 3 series and the 5 series? I see that the leg diameters increase, but is the mounting plate the same diameter and the distance from leg to leg around the apex the same? Just trying get a sense of how they differ dimensionally at the apex and whether there's additional rigidity and vibration damping benefits in the larger series beyond just increased tube diameters. Thanks!

A: The mounting plate and the distance from leg to leg on both the 5 series and the 3 series are the same, the additional rigidity and vibration damping benefits in the larger series are only due to the increased thickness of the legs as well as larger modular feet.

Q: 6. Is the RC450D brighter than the RC450B? Or do they put out the same intensity of light?

A: No, all bi-color tech has a light loss of a full stop. Making the RC450D brighter.

Q: 7. What is the max height of the RC-5570 with just two of the legs fully extended?

A: The Robus RC-5570 Vantage Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod with the first legs extended has a maximum height of 53". And just the last two legs extended has a maximum height of 56.5”.

Q: 8. Does the included bag have enough room for an attached ball head or is just enough for the tripod to fit?

A: The case would have enough space for the legs only.

Q: 9. Will this tripod allow for extreme closeups by moving the camera below the tripod?

A: You would need to get the separate center column for this, as this tripod does not come with a center column. That would be the Robus CC-001 Center Column linked here. https://bhpho.to/3gfS2Qy

Q: 10. What is the folded diameter of this tripod? I need something sturdy for a small astro rig, but also small enough to hike in with.

A: It is roughly 5.5 inches at the largest point.
