Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the charger be used to power the Ursa Mini via 4 pin XLR cable? Loos like this charger puts out 14V+ and the Ursa Mini power supply provides only 12V

A: You should be able to use the charger in this Battery Kit as a power supply for the Ursa Mini. You would just need the proper XLR cable, such as B&H #BEXLR10MF.

Q: 2. I was wondering on this 198 IDX battery which D Tap connector you are suppose to use to power a Sony PXW FS5? I will also be hooking up an Atomos Shogun to one of the D Tap connectors, I guess?

A: The Zacuto D-Tap Male to FS5 Jack Regulated Power Cable (1.5') is a great option, BH #ZALA27R. https://bhpho.to/2NJ02w0

Q: 3. Do I need to buy a charger cable to plug it into the wall or is the cable included?

A: This charger is supplied with a USA type power cable.

Q: 4. Is is compatible with the viewfinders battery info on Sony Fs7M2 display?

A: In the EVF you can turn on the Battery Status screen. It displays information about the battery and DC IN source. This would include any brand 14.4DCV battery that has been regulated to the camera's power input level.

Q: 5. Has anyone used this battery to power a Nikon D850 w/ dummy battery adapter?

A: That should certainly be possible, with the proper Dummy Battery Cable. https://bhpho.to/37T9U0Q

Q: 6. Will this work with the Switronix XC-2LS 2-Position Simultaneous Charger?

A: I'm not totally familiar with this Switronix unit. I know Switronix makes good products so I would not hesitate using the charger. However, I'm a believer in using the original battery's manufacturer charger to be assured that it meets the correct electrical needs of the battery.

Q: 7. If purchased separately the charger is 299 and the battery 189 for a total of 488. Is there something different about the kit that explains the price difference?

A: The price difference was due to the fact the charger was on a special price of $299. It is now back to it's regular price of $441.00. However, if you are interested, we may be able to match the special price again. Phone 800.606.6969 or 212.444.6615 E-Mail provideo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com./a

Q: 10. I wanted to know if this battery is compatible with the JVC GY 110U camcorder? I brought a V-mount extension due to the camera's battery does not hold a lot of power.

A: The batteries will work but it depends on the V mount extension and it's output. You need to get the 14.8 volts of the batteries down to the camera's specification of 7.9v. Either that is built into the connection to the camera or you will have to use a 7.9 d-tap on the V mount extension to a dummy battery into the camera.
