The Oben ACM-2400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod is a lightweight yet extremely sturdy one-legged support for a camera, whether point & shoot, DSLR, or video camera. Maximum height is 63.2", which facilitates comfortable operation for most users.

At only 1.65 lb, this is quite a robust piece of gear: It bears up to 26.5 lb, so add just about any head, camera & lens combination that you want. The monopod's chunky rubber foot, foam grip, and wrist strap will conspire to keep your setup stable.

The flip locks of the ACM-2400 are adjustable, which means you can use the included Allen key to tighten them if they expand and loosen slightly due to normal wear & tear. You can also adjust the action of the locks to suit your operating preference. Leg stages descend easily and lock into place securely, so setup is a breeze. The ACM-2400 is composed of anodized aluminum to ensure its durability.

For fine control over camera orientation, attach a head to the monopod's reversible 3/8"-16 & 1/4"-20 mounting screw. Three set screws underneath the collar enable you to fasten the head securely to the plate. An Allen key is included & attached to the top leg section, so you're always ready to make adjustments.

The monopod collapses to just 21.3", so you can stow it in many carry-on bags. No matter how near or far you roam, the ACM-2400 is a great travel companion: relatively lightweight and compact, very simple to operate – but steadfast and ready in an instant to help you capture the perfect shot.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I adapt this to go on a tripod. The opening threads on bottom of head are much larger than receiving thread on tripod plate. Is there some kind of adapter?

A: The receiving end of this head is a 3/8"-16, which is the standard tripod mounting screw size. You would mount this directly to the tripod's legs rather than to a quick release plate or another head. Remove the tripod's current head first. There is an adapter you can use (called a bushing) but not for use as you described.

Q: 2. Can the 1/4 inch screw in the QR plate be replaced by a 3/16” screw? And if so do you sell the 3/16” screw?

A: The 1/4" mounting screw on the Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head for Monopods, with Quick Release cannot be changed.

Q: 3. If I want to replace this ball head with another Oben head, can I? Which Oben heads are compatible with this tripod, all?

A: I am sorry but I do not have the knowledge to answer that question. My camera carries a Macro Zoom 18 - 300 and its weight is significant, and the Monopod and its head has more than the weight capacity for it. Good luck, maybe a professional who knows might be able to answer it in an open forum.

Q: 4. I use a Canon T4i and the longest lens that I use is a Sigma 150-600sport..will this tripod combination be sufficient for this equipment?

A: I have a Canon Rebel T3i, and no matter what I tried, it would NOT stay on the tripod. It snapped in just fine, and as soon as I tried to do anything, the camera came loose. I returned the tripod. Obviously, I don't recommend it.

Q: 5. Will the 234RC clamp firmly to an Arca-Swiss L bracket or plate?

A: No, this clamp is proprietary and will not work with Arca Swiss.

Q: 6. Can you recommend a lightweight, fairly inexpensive fluid head tripod for shooting video with dslr camera?? thanks!

A: The Benro S4 Video Head is a great choice for a fluid head that will be lightweight (1.5 pounds) and provide excellent value: http://bhpho.to/1bLlpTd

Q: 7. Are the Manfrotto 200PL-Pro mounting plates compatible with this mount?

A: Yes they are.

Q: 8. I recently purchased this to attach my camera to a c-stand for overhead product shots. I need something to screw the head into that would fit on the c-stand arm. Does anyone know what I could use?

A: You would need to have a pin like this on the C stand knuckle: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/124750-REG/Avenger_E250_E250_Long_Double_Stud.html Then on that pin you can place a ball head adapter like this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1244788-REG/kupo_kg014212_baby_ball_head_adapter.html On the Kupo ball head adapter you can place the Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head for Monopods, with Quick Release

Q: 9. Has anyone center mounted a slider on this tripod? How sturdy does it feel?

A: As long as the combined weight of your camera/slider/head combination does not exceed the Oben AC-1441 4-Section Aluminum Tripod's 11 lbs maximum load capacity, the tripod should be sturdy for your needs. I simply recommend ensuring both the legs and head are locked securely, especially if you are using the slider at an angle or orientated vertically. The ability to adjust the legs' angle will be beneficial for this usage, especially if shooting on uneven terrain.

Q: 10. Does anyone know if this fits a bento a38 monopod?

A: I have that combination and they work together. Its a 3/8 screw and reciever.
