A: What ever aperture you set on the CN-E 18-80mm, it should not ramp to another. If it did, one of it's most important selling points would go away. We would have to add we have never experienced a lens that ramped at any stop that was not at the wider open end of the aperture scale. In regards of the 24-105mm, we do find when set at f/4, it does darken at 105mm, suggesting that the the true full range stop is more f/4.5 than f/4. But at f/5.6 and higher f/numbers, the exposure remains the same throughout the zoom range.

A: Sorry, but the Canon ZSG-C10 Zoom Grip for COMPACT-SERVO Lens trigger cannot be made to work with a Sony FS7.

A: With this lens not yet being released we cannot say for sure, however the Canon Extender EF 1.4X III is only compatible with fixed focal length L-series lenses 135mm and over, as well as the EF 70-200/2.8L, EF 70-200/2.8L IS, EF 70-200/4L and EF 100-400/4.5-5.6L. We do not believe it will be compatible with this CN-E lens.

A: According to Canon: The lens is equipped with an electronic zoom that delivers smooth, quiet and stable zooming from high speed to low speed across the entire 1880mm zoom range. So it appears that indeed you can vary the speed directly on the lens if you wish to. A: No, sorry, this lens does not have a macro adjustment.

A: Yes it will. You will not need to use the servo with the lens.

Q: 8. So according to a previous answer from Canon, this is compatible to the EOS C300 and EOS C100 Mark ll. That being said the EOS C100 Mark 1 is not compatible?

A: This will work with any camera that has an EF mount. It is just a matter of full compatibility as far as Auto Focus and the zoom, which it may not be with an older model like the C100.

A: Power is provided to this lens through the EF connection. If the RED camera has an active EF mount it should power this lens and allow for the Optical Image Stabilization to work. You may want to consult with RED directly though regarding specific lenses and their support on a specific camera.
