The 10-30x60mm Gladiator Zoom Binoculars from Barska are designed for long-distance terrestrial and astronomical viewing. The powerful variable magnification range allows the viewer to scan a large field of view and then zoom in on the selected object to make detailed observations. The large, oversized objectives and ruby multi-coatings draw in copious amounts of light to push the low-light capabilities of the optic beyond smaller optics, while a large exit pupil at low magnification ensures complete coverage of the user's pupil when it gets fully dilated as light fades. An ergonomically placed zoom lever allows users to make fast magnification changes while viewing through the eyepieces with a simple movement of their right index or middle finger. The large objectives add weight to the binoculars; so to reduce arm fatigue from holding them for long-duration glassing sessions, or to keep the binoculars steady at high magnifications, they can be tripod mounted using an optional adapter.

Q: 1. With the new Studio 6k Pro announced, are there any EF mount lenses that will work with this?

A: The only EF lenses that are compatible with the Blackmagic Design Zoom Demand on the Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 6K Pro (EF Mount) are the Canon CN-E 18-80mm T4.4 COMPACT-SERVO Cinema Zoom Lens (EF Mount), B&H # CAE1880EF, and the Canon CN-E 70-200mm T4.4 Compact-Servo Cine Zoom Lens (EF Mount), B&H # CAE70200EF, at this time.

Q: 3. I have the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm and the speed knob doesn't work. There's only one speed. Any fixes for this?

A: No, I'm sorry, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens (B&H# PA144235XS) is a basic consumer PZ zoom and doesn't offer variable zoom speed as an option.

Q: 4. Will this work with the URSA Broadcast G2 and the Fujinon LA16X8BRM-XB1A 2/3" 4K Pro Lens to control the zoom of the lens?

A: Yes, the Blackmagic Design Zoom Demand will be compatible with the Fujinon LA16X8BRM-XB1A 2/3" 4K Pro Lens.

Q: 5. With an URSA Broadcast G2 and LA16x8BRM lens, if I have the camera connected to my ATEM return (for color/iris CCU), will the ATEM CCU override the zoom control that the Zoom Demand sends the camera? Or, can I use this Zoom Demand and still have ATEM control over the camera color, iris, focus, etc?

A: You can use the zoom Demand at the same time as the ATEM control. There are zoom controls in the ATEM software but it will not interact with the local zoom or focus if that software control is not touched.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit series of lenses?

Q: 9. The descriptions says this is "designed for FX-format Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras". Is there any reason that this cannot be used on a Z50?

A: You can certainly use it on the Nikon Z50, of course there will always be a crop factor when using the Z50. The effective angle of view will be 15-27mm.

Q: 10. I can't seem to get the zoom to work w BMD Studio+. I have this lens Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens Zoomplug goes from usb-c port to usb-c on Focus demand. Focus demand goes from cam port to cam port. Using cables that were supplied. Nothing in the menu settings referring to zoom demand. Focus demand seems to work fine I have ssd drive plugged into B port on cam Help?

A: Please attempt to connect the Blackmagic Design Zoom Demand directly to the Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Plus to troubleshoot if the Zoom Demand is functioning. Also, try to connect the Zoom Demand to both USB-C ports on the camera without the SSD drive plugged in and test the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens zoom toggle on the lens itself, as well as ensure the contacts on the lens are clean.
