The Kodak 100 x 100mm CC10G Filter is a green color compensating filter that helps to control color balance by attenuating the blue and red portions of the visible spectrum. By placing this filter in front of or behind the lens, you can alter the color balance of imagery or compensate for deficiencies in the spectral quality of a light source.

The CC10G-density filter requires a 0.3 stop increase in exposure for normal results. Wratten 2 filters are constructed from gelatin for ease of use and consistent performance. When compared to original Wratten filters, Wratten 2 filters are more rigid and durable, easier to handle, and less sensitive to humidity, static cling, and fingerprints.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens compatible with the PK-13 extension tube from Nikon? I know that it will mount, but what is the focus distance range when used with the extension tube?

A: The extension tube is manual so it will work with most Nikon compatible type D or third party manual lenses and the lens you are referring to is a manual lens.

Q: 2. Is it necessary (or do you recommend) to use filters with this lense (e.g. also to avoid that the lenses gets damaged)? Which one is good for daily use?

A: That is the million dollar question. Some photogs insist there be some protection for the front lens element, others say it affects the photograph. I had just purchased a 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens, with a B+W 77mm clear haze filter on it. I swear I zipped up my bag I keep my short teles in, and was putting it away when that lens came flying out and hit right on the edge of the filter from 3 feet. I heard glass break, and my heart sank. Looked at it, the filter was broken, but not a scratch, dent, ding, nada on the lens front. Unscrewed the remains of the filter, brushed and cleaned the front element, put the lens on my camera, and fired off several shots at all apertures and focal lengths to make sure I didn't just blow 2 grand. Worked just like unboxed. All my good lenses now have B+W filters on them, it did its job. I've never noticed any difference with, or without a clear protective filter on my lenses, as far as shots go. I'll take them off if I'm using a polarizer, or ND filter. One filter is enough. Everyone has their favorite brand, but I suggest screwing one on.

Q: 3. How does this lens compare to the Canon 100mm macro? I'm interested in it for studio work.

A: I feel canon glass is better then Rokinon

Q: 4. I have a Canon 100 mm macro lens and would like to create images with bokeh. If the subject is at minimum focusing distance, and the aperture is 2.8, how far does the background have to be from the subject to create bokeh?

A: Not too far, however, the further the better. You'll be able to see it on your LCD screen before you take a shot.

Q: 5. Can the hood be removed? size with or without it?

A: Yes, the hood is removable. The lens without the hood is approximately 5.82 inches long.

Q: 6. I have read that this lens' internal optics make some noise (maybe slight) when NOT attached to a camera and shaked a bit .- Is that true?. - That concerns me much. I'm afraid of possible missalignement over time... Even when I'm very careful with my gear, some shakes when carrying are inevitable.Thank you very much!

A: I had this lens and it also made a rattling sound when removed from my camera body. The image quality and focusing seemed fine, but I sent it back to be on safe side.

Q: 7. is this lens good for sports? BB & FB

A: Hi. The answer is absolutely not.It was recommended to me specifically for close up product shots for my jewelry. Even using it for that is limiting for longer necklaces.Great only for close up details. Hope this helps.

Q: 8. What is the working distance in Macro? Is it less than a foot?

A: The minimum focusing distance of this lens is right at 1 ft. Keep in mind that distance is from the camera sensor to the subject, not the front of the lens to the subject.

Q: 9. Hi. Despite the IS, is there other diference between 100mm Macro L and 100mm Macro Standard? Is the image quality the same?

A: Canon's L lenses are by far superior products. If you can afford to spend the extra money, I would definitely advise doing so.

Q: 10. Hello, i'm french (sorry for my bad english), can you confirm that this lens is compatible with fuji XT1 without adaptator ring? Is the autofocus working on it? and last question, do you send lenses to France? thank you!

A: This is a manual focus lens, however it will be fully compatible with the XT-1. You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.
