Kodak 100 X 100mm Cc40c Cyan Color Compensating Wratten 2 Filter

The Kodak 100 x 100mm CC40C Filter is a cyan color compensating filter that helps to control color balance by attenuating the red portion of the visible spectrum. By placing this filter in front of or behind the lens, you can alter the color balance of imagery or compensate for deficiencies in the spectral quality of a light source.
The CC40C-density filter requires a 0.6 stop increase in exposure for normal results. Wratten 2 filters are constructed from gelatin for ease of use and consistent performance. When compared to original Wratten filters, Wratten 2 filters are more rigid and durable, easier to handle, and less sensitive to humidity, static cling, and fingerprints.

Q: 1. Is this macro lens compatible with Canon EOS 50D?
A: Yes this lens is compatible.
Q: 2. If I use this lens to take a 1:1 (life-size) image, would I have less danger of camera shake than when using the 180 mm macro lens at 1:1?
A: The ratio is not life size per say but the reproduction ratio. Any time you are using a longer focal length, (100mm vs 180mm in this case) you are more likely to have shake. That more of a hand held thing though. Often times, macro shooting is done with some sort of support for stabilization or even a rack for stacking shots. Personally,I hand hold but use a flash to help with shutter speed due to the shallow DoF and using narrow apertures. The 3rd lens worth mention if you're looking at these is the Canon EF MP-e65. It is THE mac daddy of macro lenses but ONLY does macro. You can get up to 5:1 magnification but it's manual focus and is not an easy thing to use. That said, it pretty much unrivaled in the macro world for production lenses.
Q: 3. I have an old canon rebel exi. It came with a EFS 18-55mm lens. What do I need to buy for great grand baby pictures or just keep this lens and buy a flash. I will only use it for the baby. Please help!
A: The. 100mm lens your are looking at is a portrait lens as well as a macro lens. The 18-55mm that you have is a zoom. It gives you a fairly wide angle lens at 18mm and about what you see with the naked eye at 55mm. The 100mm allows you to make a slightly larger image than the zoom at 55mm. If you can afford it, it is an excellent lens and the one that pros use to do portraits such as those taken in a studio. The 100mm is a fixed focal length lens so you change what is in the picture by moving the camera closer or farther away. The 18-55mm can be used to zoom in and out to get the picture that you want. A flash is very nice for indoor photos because it supplements the available light. You can also do this by changing the ISO setting and making your camera more sensitive to the existing light. I have this lens and a flash. If you can afford both that is ideal. If you need to buy one or the other I guess I would go with the flash for use indoors.Another possibility might be to choose a lens like the 24-105mm zoom that will be less expensive but still good quality and you might then be able to afford the flash as well.I hope this helps.
Q: 4. Will this lens work with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II?
A: Yes.
Q: 5. is this hybrid IS?
A: This Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens is not hybrid, this is purely optical.
Q: 6. Is this better than the Sigma 105mm?
A: I didn't use Sigma 105 mm but Canon 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM is one of the greatest lens I have. I can recommend it to everyone who looks for sharp and good lens.
Q: 7. How much more than 1:1 can you get with a set of extension tubes? Do you need a set or is one in the set particularly more useful? Is it worth the time and effort to use extension tubes if I already get 1:1 on my Canon macro lens (using 60D w/ 1.6 crop)?
A: 1:1 is the standard for most macro lenses for the most magnification. If you are shooting items smaller then a dime you might need more magnification. You can do that with extension tubes or macro Add-On lenses. There are many of both available. This is a good set Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses B&H # KEAETSCD MFR # A-EXTUBEDG-C.And add on lenses depend on the filter size you need. This is a link for ones by Canon and they are really one of the best for this type, http://bhpho.to/28TC0Ne.
Q: 8. Is this lens compatible with the new EOS R?
A: With the EF to R adapter, it will be compatible.
Q: 9. Hello, i'm french (sorry for my bad english), can you confirm that this lens is compatible with fuji XT1 without adaptator ring? Is the autofocus working on it? and last question, do you send lenses to France? thank you!
A: This is a manual focus lens, however it will be fully compatible with the XT-1. You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.
Q: 10. Is this lens good for food photography? If not, any suggestions for the best lens for this type of subject matter?
A: For food photography, you want to be able to get up and close to view the food texture and details. This is a great lens for exactly that purpose.
