Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What type motor does it use? Stepper?

A: it's a step-less motor

Q: 2. On external power, not the internal battery, what is the maximum pan duration the software supports?

A: The internal battery of the Syrp Genie Mini II supports 4hrs video and 8hrs time-lapse operation. When used with external power the only time-lapse limit is the size of your battery.

Q: 3. What is the USB-C to USB-A Female Cable used for?

A: It gives you the option to charge the Genie from either a USB A Port or USB C port.

Q: 4. Does it hold a charge when in storage? The first genie mini would lose all charge when stored for extended periods, must of had a constant power draw inside. Is this problem fixed?

A: There may be a slight drain when not used over a prelonged period. It is a best practice to fully charge any product before using it.

Q: 5. which cable would I need to purchase for use with a fuji XT3?

A: BH #SY17007 is the proper cable to use with the Fuji X-T3. https://bhpho.to/36vmQqM

Q: 6. Someone mentioned a noise issue.. is it that bad? Plan to use this on a standard motorized slider (A-B, no pan) for interviews. Sadly, don't want to pay 2500+ for Edelkrone, Rhino, etc. Think It will do what I need just fine, but a buzz/hum in the background is obviously unacceptable.

A: To avoid any slight hum that may be possible with this product, we recommend using lavalier mics on your subject(s) during interviews.

Q: 7. Can I use with GoPro Hero 7 Black ?

A: Yes. You can use the GoPro Tripod Mounts BH #GOABQRT • MFR #ABQRT-001, for attachment to the 1/4"-20 mount of Syrp Genie Mini II. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999130-REG/gopro_abqrt_001_tripod_mounts.html

Q: 8. Hello, can it be used while charging continuously?

A: Yes, you can simultaneously charge and use the Syrp Genie Mini II.

Q: 9. Will this connect to a Leica CL?

A: The Leica CL Mirrorless Camera (B&H # LECLB) will mount on the Syrp Genie Mini II Panning Motion Control System, though the manufacturer does not list the camera as compatible with the Syrp 1P Link Cable for Select Panasonic and Leica Cameras (B&H # SY17008).

Q: 10. Will this unit work properly mounted upside down?

A: yes this will function even when mounted inverted
