Quickly secure and detach accessories from your camera rig by adding this NATO Lock Kit from Wooden Camera. The rail attaches to your camera or cage system using the included 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screws while the clamp attaches to the accessory itself via an additional set of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws. The rail and clamp are compatible with other NATO standard accessories from RED, Zacuto, and other 3rd party manufacturers.

A: Hi James. The Base expander is not required to power the camera or to use the functions of this device. However, please note that without it you lack the SDI/HDMI output as well as the ability to monitor audio, jam TC, etc.

A: The V-Lock base station, while shaped like the standard V-Mount, does not work with batteries. You cannot attach a battery to this device

A: The Wooden Camera Left-Side NATO Safety Bracket for Canon C70 attaches to the Wooden Camera C70 Top Plate only.

Q: 5. Would this work with the Blackmagic View Assist 12G 7 inch?

A: The Wooden Camera Tilting Monitor Hinge Kit (BH #WOA10004) could work with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 7" 12G-SDI (BH #BLVIDA127HRD), but the Video Assist does not have locating pins on it's 1/4-20" mounting threads, so you wouldn't be able to achieve a totally secure fit. Because of that, we would not recommend the pairing.

Q: 6. Would this work with the weight and locating pins for a Smallhd 702 touch?

A: The Wooden Camera Tilting Monitor Hinge Kit (3/8"-16) should work with the SmallHD 702 Touch but it has not been tested and may fail over time, sooner than expected.

Q: 7. Does this only work with the transmitter, or can it be fitted to the receiver as well?

A: This can technically be mounted to any 1/4" 20 thread, but is specifically designed for the Teradek Bolt 4K TX.

Q: 8. Will this work with Smallrigs low profile style NATO rails?

A: THe SmallRig Snap-On Quick-Lock NATO Side Handle will work with SMallRig low profile NATO accessories.

Q: 9. will this work on any v mount? not just red cameras?

A: The Wooden Camera Low-Mode Adapter for the RED DSMC2 V-Lock Expander should work with other cameras universally. However, Wooden says the following about the adapter: This assembly will attach without tools directly to the back of the RED®'s V-Lock Expander Module or the Element Technica V-Mount Module. Compatible with RED® DSMC2™ Brains (Monstro, Helium, Gemini), Weapon, Epic Weapon (Epic-W), Scarlet Weapon (Scarlet-W), Raven, and other DSMC2™ cameras. A: The Wooden Camera Left-Side NATO Safety Bracket for Canon C70 is meant to be part of the Wooden camera camera cage for C70.

All the Wooden Camera Canon C70 accessory kits suffer from a design flaw - The top plate and handle only interface with the camera via one bolt. As a result, the top plate consistently works loose from the camera and introduces an unacceptable amount of play into any peripherals attached to the camera. I'm certain Wooden Camera developed this accessory to solve this design flaw. This accessory adds a mounting point so that the cage also connects via a bolt underneath the camera. So yes, this is a great product, but only because it solves a design flaw that should not have been present to start with. I expect more from Wooden Camera accessory kits especially at their price point. 5

The wooden camera nato rails work just like they should and are easy/smooth to use. I tried and returned the Bright Tangerine ones because you couldn't really slide on nato devices without two hands. These work just like every other nato rail you're used to with the added benefit of being timmyribs too. 5

This integrates with an Ultralight Systems arm I have. Allows me to clamp right to the multiple NATO rails I have on my cam now for speed of swapping out accessories. 5
